Is there something special they've done with the fin box placement to allow twin, 2+1, AND thruster setups to work well??

HI I don't have information regarding the fins box placement ...but Firewire said: Experiment with a twin + trailer or twin without trailer, because this shape surfs on a spectrum from loose and slidey in smaller sizes with two twin fins, to grippy and drivey in larger sizes with a trailer added. In summary, let the Flat Earth blow your mind as a twin fin, or sip the serum in doses with a trailer fin. Feel the speed. Have a good surf 🤙🏽

Great question Dillon, yes they did place the fin boxes a little closer to the tail than a normal shortboard. So you get more of a twin feeling and more manoeuvrability while the winglets help maintaining drive 🤙

I just picked one up. What size surf are you mainly riding this in? Most people are saying chest to overhead, nothing smaller… is that your take ?

@@stevehills5753 riding mine from waist to overhead ,really connected with this board.i have a 5,5 mod fish that has a lower range between the two all covered .i surf 3-ft to well overhead..mainly piont and beach breaks .. so much fun

Mind blowing people can review a surfboard without even showing any surf clips. You mentioned it isn’t good for small waves. Yet my first day out on this board, it paddles into smaller waves quite easily and keeps some solid width to it all around. The pulled in tail is playful and loose. It definitely is fun to toss around on a small day. I’m convinced most boards can be ridden in most conditions. For example: there are guys at my local break that will stand or do drop knee on body boards. And there’s guys at Pipeline on 9’ longboards getting barreled. Obviously there’s better waves and conditions for certain boards, but to say the flat earth isn’t good for small waves…. Idk. The board is advertised as something to rip in ankle high to overhead. Had you surfed it and shown videos of it in the water, then maybe there’d be some credibility to the review.

Hi Chris Thank you for your feedback 👍🏼. 2 things: - Yes I agree with you, there is better condition for some boards...and yes it really depends of the surfer (Kelly is able to surf a table like "almost" a regular shortboard :). Our point is, regarding this beauty, it is working better an a clean day and it is a perf' twin...of course small to average waves are the perfect playground - Since this summer we are adding surf review with action shots ;)... we knew that was missing ✅ Happy 2022 & happy surf 🤙🏽
