A lovely, gentle video of the Widowmaker. I visited Kananaskis Country back in the 90's with the British Army Adventure Training Unit which was based in Trails End Ranch. Our team was out-posted to Sundance Lodges in tents. Day 1 was Pigeon Mountain. Day 2 was Rundle Bike trek to Banff from Canmore Nordic Centre, returning via the Goat Creek Trail. Day 3 was Heart Mountain Horseshoe Day 4 was bouldering/top rope abseiling. Day 5 was done by a Rafting Company... Jump into the Widowmaker falls (not like it was on your video), rafting down to Stoney Reservation for pick-up. We did this for seven rotations, all the while living in pioneer tents, filling the changeover days with instructor treks like Mount Baldy, Mount Lady Macdonald, Pigeon Mountain to Nakiska, Centennial Ridge walk from it's Kananaskis car park to Dead Man's Flats. The most amazing seven weeks for myself and the other instructors. I'm due to go back now I've retired. Many thanks for your videos ☘️

@@LIVEONALBERTA our extra bonus was the wildlife... a black and white eagle, a brown eagle, chipmunks, marmots, elk, moose (giving birth on the road up to Banff Springs Hotel), black bears, cougar (Mount Baldy) and a coyote family group crossing the road. Some mosquitoes...
