Hey im really struggling to generate enough power from my knees to make space to swing my feet to the board. Im a fit person doing have no issues with strength I just dont understand where the power comes from. Im practicing at home I do a "Knee pushup" and then im stuck with no power to lift my body. Unless I have to do everything in one motion i dont understand. Any advice would be awesome!! BTW ive been searching for hours for a nice angle, slow motion, proper pop up and its awesome the way you filmed it. Finally can see it

Hey. Thanks for the comment. Good that you’re trying. Keep it up. It’s good that you’re trying the knee pop up at home! If you can do it at home you should be able to do it on a surfboard. Do you have good or poor hip mobility? It could be that?

Tho easyer and gets you up surfing the drop knee (pigdog) popup is quite a hard habit to break when progressing to the explosive popup
