Felix - great questions bro! Let me answer them: 1. I think barrels are the PINNACLE of surfing so I’d have to go with that. But I’ve definitely done way more airs & even more turns surfing (like most people) so I really all of it. The perfect wave for me is to get tubed off take off, do a big power turn then finish with an air 🚀 2. I wish I liked big waves more but I definitely do my best surfing when it’s small & fun size. It’s also good not having to stress about getting some hectic sets on the head when it’s smaller 😂 but I definitely want to level up this part of my surfing!

Noz you’re gnarly! Go surf at Lorne on the Great Ocean Road, West has small waves but the main beach has around 3m waves, sometimes bigger but is usually calm and its rare to be put under by the waves when surfing

Hey legend! Just trusting in probabilities helps a tonne. Also if you’re religious, trusting that god will protect you & being eaten by a shark isn’t his plan for you! Surfing with friends or other people is still a big bonus. But it’s super healthy to feel like that! I do all the time still. Especially on those dark/gloomy days when I’m way out at a reef break alone. Every session you have & survive is just another small boost of confidence that the ocean is safe (to a degree). But sometimes man it’s honestly better to come in. It’s not worth it if you’re just gonna be stressing the whole time! Hope this helps 🙏🏽

Just make sure you don’t go too small! The last thing you want to do is drop down to a small board and not catch as many waves. This is what most people do & then they stop improving because they don’t catch as many waves
