Surfside Adventures | Don't Get Stung

Fishing at surfside jetty again. Weather's gotten better and I had to get out and make the most of the rest of my summer. Got into a big one on the bottom and manage to bring in my biggest stingray. These creatures are always so majestic to me, but always be careful of that tail! Some days may be slow, but any kind of action brings back the joy of fishing.
Catches: Pigfish, Sheepshead, Stingray, Gafftop.

Great video - how do you handle catching a stingray (assuming you aren’t throwing back) without being tagged?

Thanks! I would gaff it if I were to keep it. I’ll then step on the tail and break off the barb with my pliers. As long as it’s calm it won’t swing the tail back and forth
