Surfside Adventures | Jetty Mackerel

Today I got out to the jetties for a late afternoon bite. Fishing conditions has been tremendous with perfect weather. Bite was slow, but I managed one spanish mackerel. I threw the tandem rig and a spoon for a few hours with no hits. On the second rod, I left a mullet out on a float rig. This was the ticket as I had several hits and was able to land one. The others shredded my line with their razor sharp teeth. Hopefully more fish will show up soon as the weather continues to cool. Fall fishing is just getting started!
