Wow it’s like 1year to the day since my last comment on this video ! First of all “ Happy Birthday bro !” Went out to the South pier on the skyway and it was windy as hell , but I managed to get 3 big mac’s a big pompano and cut off 1/2 dozen times , lost a bridge monster couldn’t get him up to light of tackle , it was a fun day ! 🎂🍰🎉. Tight lines bro !

@@CaptChrisCanning yep was out there but was fighting the wind on casting, soaked a treadfins for awhile and got broke off , switched over to a sabki rig with the big flies and had to use a 5/8 oz bell sinker to fight the waves and current , got 3 mackerel and cut off 3 times I’m going to make my own “ HD sabki rig using fine wire and 30lb “ and I’ll tie up some bigger flash flies , wow saw josh’s video on his New Okuma set up that’s a killer rig , is that a new sponsor ? 👍🏼

Days they can see the lures better. If I’m being honest, they have been hit or miss out there lately. Sometimes they are thick and other times they are nowhere to be found

I saw the Asians doing this with the larger size sabiki rigs with a few hooks tipped with small greenbacks. They were bringing in blue runners and mackerel. One woman brought in four fish on one cast

Mackerel has very good eye sight, and learn to stay away from fishing rigs. He's trying to make the spoon look as natural as possible.

Happy late birthday Chris! My son’s birthday is March 22nd also lol. As for the spoons, I had a lot of luck on a gold spoon for Spanish mackerel. For some reason they would tear it up. They would hit the silver but not as much as gold.
