Thank you. I'm a sterile processing technician and I wash and sterilize a lot of ENT surgery sets and instruments. I was curious what a ENT surgeon do. Last year I got a branchial cleft cyst. It was sore, big, annoying and ugly. A ENT doctor took it out. You did not mention anything about cysts. Can you do a video about it?

Why is it called a tracheotomy and not a tracheostomy

Ha! Good question. The procedure is a tracheotomy, because -otomy means to make an incision. The opening that is left behind is called a tracheostomy.
