My E28 previously had an open 3.07 differential. While it proved ok for cruising and highway stints- the list of benefits stopped there. In wanting a slightly "hotter boi" canyon cruiser that sees occasional auto cross and track days, I decided to step up to a 3.46 Limited Slip Differential. And while that differential is out, why not refresh it and make it lock up even more, by adding a clutch amongst the two other fresh clutch disks.
