I'm glad you've expanded your interest into the Star P series. They were originally developed for the 80's military testing to replace the 1911. P28 was the entry. I have an aluminum frame one, PK30 I believe. They are generally quite accurate, fun shooters. Aftermarket grips are available too.

Mosin crate, 20 years ago I bought a 91/30 mosin never fired with a hex receiver made in the Tula plant in 1934 complete with everything all numbers matching for 89.99, best 90 bucks I ever spent.
@TheMosinCrate8 ай бұрын
Back when I was young and broke, and couldn't afford it for myself. I remember entire crates of 20 being $500 out the door. Stacked floor to ceiling in a large room. I miss that cosmoline smell. You only get it when you're near those crates with that oily wax paper.

A great spread- Fegs, Walthers, Stars, Astras, and Tanfoglios- fantastic spread. The Star 30 is an important evolution that takes us to the Ultrastar, Megastar, and Firestar (for all you Megastar fans out there). I always wondered if the Kareens were made in Hungary by feg or if it feg got Israel going in their production. Years ago I picked up a Walam, and these days theyre two or three times what they were, a great gun, and come through infrequently compared to other fegs.

Somebody add to this but what I remember there was a gun for a short time called the baby desert eagle I wonder if those ones marked are them.
@brutesquadbbq22688 ай бұрын
They are. The Baby Eagle was the name given to the Jericho by Magnum Research when they imported them. I have a few of them and they’re fantastic handguns.

I appreciate the dry firing mechanism of these. Any Glocks in 9x21mm?
@TheMosinCrate8 ай бұрын
Glocks unless they have some special LE or mil marks rarely do well. I try to avoid them because the surplus cost is usually just slightly below getting one new. Plus, everyone has a glock already, so it's already a over saturated market. Couple that with it being a seldom seen in the states Israeli round and I'm not sure if they'd move at all. I've seen and had a couple Jerichos in 9x21 but never a glock that I recall.

@rbm61848 ай бұрын
@zwordsman If it doesn't have to be a surplus or import then go check out the Rossi Circuit Judge in .45Colt/.410 Bore or the Vantage Arms SIX12 Shotgun that is a 12 gauge revolving bull pup.

Walthers needs to reissue the PP in 32acp. Demand would be huge. Just look how demand increased over multiple versions of the HiPowers.
@WN_Byers8 ай бұрын
Demand would not be huge, as ammunition is cost prohibitive for your average shooter

Tha Walam 48 is such a baller gun. Interestingly, mine (with crest) is a very low 3000 serial number, and all of the ones you have here are 7700 - 8506. So, not sure which serials got 'crested'...you'd think the earlier ones were delivered with a crest and the higher numbers were the ones after the contract was terminated that were not crested.
@TheMosinCrate8 ай бұрын
Reading about them some more yesterday, it seems that they delivered the first part, stopped for a couple of thousand, then delivered another 2000+ serial #s later. The leftovers were for the most part not marked with a crest and were sold on the commercial market. Some of them marked hege as they went through a german arms company. Weird history. I'd love to know exactly how these made it into Israel.
