My second baby (also a home birth) was three weeks early. It was a difficult birth and at one point the midwife said, "this baby needs to be born NOW". At that point I didn't know that when the head crowned she was blue. She looked like a Smurf when she was born!!!!! That moment of terror and uncertainty is awful. Praise God she pinked up very quickly and hasn't looked back!!!!! She'll be 12 in July! But yes, Jason, "praying without praying" is a PERFECT way to describe that feeling! Congratulations to everyone! Baby Everett is so sweet! May God continue to bless your family!

I'm in tears praising the Father for your miracle. We had our 10th baby at home in December and nearly lost her. She was born grey. I prayed, telling the Shepherd that I trusted Him and she cried. It was life changing for me. I will never be the same. Many blessings to you and your remarkable family.

Yes, you truly saw miracle of life! My last son was born in 87. Unknown was the fact he was born with cystic kidney disease. 8 days later he went into renal failure. God was so good he is on his second transplant of kidney. I told him he had the second gift of life 5-17-88 with his first transplant. God does plan all things. Bless you all with the gift of Everett!!!!

My sons birth similar but had c-section and was completely unresponsive and no vitals and once revived and God breathed into him he burst to life and immediately had strong vitals. Was told they had never seen a baby respond so quickly. So glad yall are healthy. Our regular doctor wasn't supposed to be there and just happened to walk in and started working on my son. Someone had strep throat and called in sick and God sent me exactly who we needed that day.

Wow what a testament to God’s grace to prepare you in this way for the birth and to keep him safe during this time. Praising the Lord with you at the birth of your baby boy!! You mentioning how much your mental state affects birth reminded me of my second full term delivery- I thought I was dying (midwife hadn’t even left yet and was an hour or more away) but when the EMTs showed up I felt safe because it was just me and my husband and I was scared. Once they got me in the ambulance they checked me and we were about to head to the hospital (45min drive) and then I said he’s coming (only time in 4births I could for sure tell) and they didn’t believe me I said “look!!” Then basically he came out and I don’t even think I pushed- my body just went with it. My youngest also- weeks of prodromal labor and I was scared and fearful then got an amazing night of sleep (first good one in a week) I awakened and said “it’s a great day to have a baby” and then labor basically started and he was born that day!!! The Lord is so gracious to us!!! Also my 3rd delivery my daughter with special needs was in the hospital with RSV and came home (my husband was staying with her) on my due date- and praise God he gave me another week and a day so that our oldest daughter was well and we had cleaned the whole house really well then our youngest daughter came and no one else got sick! We inadvertently started a Homebirth movement at our local church after our now 5y old daughter was born.

A footling breech baby! So awesome it all turned out so well! My first baby (of 5) was a footling breech too (born at 38 weeks)! It was also at home with just my husband and me (a planned UC). Fortunately my daughter was just fine and had no issues beyond some swelling for a day or two from having one leg in, one leg out for a bit. I could so relate to your feeling of stressful urgency when you felt like "I have to get this baby out ASAP". Just how I felt too. Thank you so much for sharing your awesome birth story!! What a crazy amazing video, I could feel your hearts so much. Jason’s “ plenty of that” gave me such a chuckle. Watching the kiddos meet him for the first time gave me such a catch in my heart-so so precious. Ben’s giggles so incredibly sweet. James looks so proud to be a big brother again. My births were both c-sections, the first being an emergency and so thankful for surgery or I would not have had my boys. Our FATHER is so amazing and gave me such peace knowing this was how they would be able to live. Day 4 home and basically doing what had to be done. Such strength thru prayer. Sooooo appreciated your sharing of your beautiful boys birth.

@@paradoxepiphanies3530 well, as far as the ins and outs, I'm sure it is,however, as a Mama who had just experienced a traumatic delivery, I only has so much capacity to comprehend. I was exhausted and just wanted to snuggle with my baby, not have a complex explaination.

Your birth story is amazing. Tears of joy. YAHUAH is so good. My last one was about as fast as that, except she came out still in the sack. My water never broke and my midwife had to tear it to get her out. She wouldn't immediately take that first breath either and needed help. It is scary, and that grayish purple look made me instantly go right into prayer. Like praying out loud for the world to hear and that first cry will make anyone just burst into tears. Thank you so much for sharing your story, it was intense and definitely one that will be told over and over. I LOVE Benjamin's reaction. I just had a surprise breech homebirth 5 weeks ago! Very similar story. I was in labor less than an hour and my body started pushing by itself, I reached down to feel a leg instead of a head like I was expecting. My midwife wasn’t there yet because labor went so quickly. My mom helped me catch him and the midwife’s assistant got there just in time to help get his head unstuck. He also needed some resuscitation, longest few minutes of my life. The air was thick with love, hope and prayer while we waited for his cry.

The song that pops in my mind is…..It Is Well With My Soul 🎶 God never fails us and I know at the time a bit of fear got in especially when Everett wasn’t breathing immediately…possibly your thoughts were he ingested some meconium I don’t actually know what your thoughts were other than Please my sweet boy breathe and give us a cry! Unbelievable how Bella in the background was getting things in order. The end was beautiful watching all the children loving on that sweet boy and little Benjamin still looks like a baby and that was so sweet to see him kissing. God Bless This Sweet Family and I pray you keep your hands upon them always! In Jesus’ Name Amen 🙏🏼
