Thank you so much for sharing! We are soon to meet baby #2 and I have slowly transitioned to the “stock the van, not the purse” method of outings. I would love to see a “what you stock your van with” video if that’s something you are willing to share? I sometimes feel like I have everything and then realize I don’t have what I need. Thanks for being so kind and sharing so much valuable information!

Good idea on the sleepers as the baby’s daily outfits during winter. Onesies during warm months. Everett looks like Silas and James. Growing sooo much!

Thank you for sharing your baby essentials! Lots of great products. With our third on the way I'm really trying to become more minimal with all the baby items.

Excellent share. Just an addition to sleepers-back in the day-I often slipped a pair of pull on pants over their sleepers-didn’t need to worry about socks or booties per say. Thank you for sharing especially for new mommas and grammas can have a lot of those things on hand for visiting babes-momma doesn’t need to pack as much❤️

Jefferies Socks Unisex-Baby Newborn Bubble Stitch Rock-A-Bye Bootie 6 Pair Pack These socks are amazing!! I'm a mama of 12 and these are the only socks I've found that work. Agree on footie jammies all the time!! Outfits are cute, but not keeping baby in mind, as they are most times considerably less comfortable then jammies, and it's very important to keep baby's comfort in mind.

I'm just curious do you pay with your kids? I only have three and aspire to have more but they don't play much on their own unless im involved. Wondering where the balance is..

LOL - the pattern design of your baby booties is the same as the one I've used since my youngest brother was born in 1952 - a classic! And yes, they don't get kicked off w/baby moving its legs/feet.

With my first several babies a place to put the baby down safely and safe from the toddler was a must. I always had either a bouncy seat or a swing. The bouncy seat takes less space, but my babies liked the swing better. Once I had older kids, they became the place to safely set the baby down (thank goodness for homeschooling), and I did not need them anymore. I second not washing newborn skin (except the diaper area). They way I kept away baby acne was to not even let a drop of water touch their faces before 2 months old. One thing I have found recently that works well for a natural alternative that may be of interest to you is baking soda in place of laundry soap. I use 1 c for a full load, and my laundry comes out cleaner. I still keep a little traditional laundry soap on hand for extra dirty loads, but I mostly use straight baking soda. We do, however, have naturally soft water, so that may help too and someone with hard water may need vinegar at the rinse cycle.

Thanks for the laundry tip! I’ll give it a try

I'm so glad you're enjoying the swaddle blanket I sent! I realized how amazing they were when I found one at the thrift store for my baby that was born in Nov. They swaddle newborns so snug & soft but they can also wiggle in them.. I just love them & recommend that brand to every new mom I talk to now :) 💙💙

It's always interesting to see what other moms use. I had EVERYTHING for my first and it was so overwhelming and most of it, we tried and never used again. The boppy didn't work well for me because I have a short torso. We got rid of the crib cause we never used it. I just co sleep so me and baby can actually sleep. I don't sleep well when baby is somewhere else and the constant up and down is super irritating with exclusively nursing. I will say a bouncer or rocker chair has been a necessity especially the more kids I have. You can technically just lay baby on floor if you need to put them down but when you have other kids running around, it's nice to have a place to put them that they won't get ran over.

I used booties since socks did not work! I like using northern essence products on my daughter when she was a baby! I have a 2 story house to a little basket/ organizer bag was so helpful! I could load it up and have stuff I needed for night time and then Vice versus for the day didn’t end to make so many trips up and down the stairs! Very important when you’re healing in the beginning! I also had 2 changing stations 1 upstairs and one downstairs! The downstairs one I just got one of those kinder sleep mats and threw it on our coffee table and kept baskets underneath it with diapers and wipes! The bouncer was the best thing ever so I could shower!!

Do you pump at all? What do you do if you need to leave the house without baby? 💗
@jasonandjulie Жыл бұрын
I have a really nice pump but I find that I never use it 😆 For the first months when I’m nursing on demand I just bring my babies everywhere with me, and then when they’re older I try to time my leaving in between feedings. I was gifted this manual pump with Everett’s birth amzn.to/42fwbzV I’m hoping it’ll make it more convenient for me to pump a little to have for emergencies. Getting that big electric pump out is just too much hassle

I never ever left my babies Once I had to have surgery at 3 weeks postpartum. She came to the hospital with us, stayed with daddy until I woke up afterwards, and I was nursing her within about 20 minutes of coming out of anesthesia. So there’s a medical incidence even that I still didn’t need to leave baby. If baby isn’t welcome, we didn’t go. Period. Not 1 regret. My friend kept her nursling in the hospital with her while she was there with an older child. Somebody was always there with her to take care of the baby if necessary, for instance if mama was taking care of the older child that she was there for. If u want it, u don’t need to leave baby. Babies are made to be with mommas for mos on end. They get big so quick tho!

GREAT LIST‼️ Both my girls LOVED the sound machine when they were babies/toddlers….. it was a lifesaver! So glad to see the nursing tops are coming in handy! Have you tried the sleep sacks yet? I’m hoping they are as good as the reviews and what I had heard about them I didn’t have those exact ones for my babies (that was so long ago😂) but I’ve heard these that I sent were really great and super soft. I LOVE that Farm swaddle someone sent you… It looks so cozy! And yes I remember nicking one of my babies while trimming their little nails and it broke my heart but it’s so hard when they’re that little… but she was fine and wasn’t scarred by the event. 😅 Sending lots of ❤️ and 🙏 to the Kreke Family 🏡

I liked best what you said about bathing newborns. When they were older and already starting to crawl, I put them in the tub, gave them plastic mugs to play with the water, we sang songs, and it was never an ordeal to scrub them clean, or they would even want to do it themselves :) A little dirt and a lot of fun never hurt anyone :D

Thanks for featuring sleepers in lieu of "cute outfits." So often, baby clothes are made to look like miniature versions of older children's clothes with tight waistbands, which are ultra-restrictive of babies' growing organs. .

I now wish I had used sound machines or white noise from a fan. My adult children both in their thirties have decided that they need a fan noise to sleep. And anyone as an adult who is having trouble with sleep they now recommend white noise machines even if we are seniors(I am 71). So don't sweat using sound machines with babies you viewers.
