Emily, thank you for shutting down any haters regarding government assistance. My mom raised 4 kids on government food in the 60"s. She worked but there wasn't enough money to feed us and the government food really went a long way to feed us. Perfect response!❤

I can't tell you how much I enjoy watching you both just, being. Calmly going about taking care of the room, chatting. Just letting eachother be and neither of you is trying to tell the other what to do. I can't really word it right. I'm 50+ and I grew up constantly being rushed. The only people I ever had around me when cleaning up were people who would tell me I was doing it wrong, to stop playing around, to get a move on, I wasn't allowed to chat because then I was clearly not going quick enough (let alone laugh or have fun!), and berating me for not having my things in order if I had to go and get a(nother) garbage bag. Watching you guys is so comforting and healing. And I love how Emily put the tiara on. Thank you both.

I was raised by a single mom who became disabled when I was in middle school so I remember government cheese quite well. It made really good mac & cheese too! Also, my grandparents had a big vegetable garden and grandpa liked making homemade bread. So I ate open-faced toasted free cheese and garden tomato sandwiches every day all summer long. Best thing ever, total nostalgic comfort food right there. 🤤❤

Amazing how much you get done! You’re fearless! After a few minutes of watching I got up, cleared all the stuff off the dining room table, took the leaf out, put it away, reset the table, organized my shopping bags, made a new shopping list… YOU are so inspiring! I’m relatively new so haven’t met Emily before. Love how kind you are to each other. Good luck Emily with your surgery. Oh yeah, screw the judgmental idiot trolls.

When you said about growing up poor and becoming homeless. It hit a note with me too. I'm old now in my 70s, I have a nice life now, all things considered. At 12 years old I was walking the streets because of a violent family member, and also because of that and toys and other stuff I had was gone. I have a quiet life now, but I worked really hard 80 hours a week from 15 years old, I bought a small property, but like you I could throw away everything and it wouldn't bother me. It must be something to do with losing everything when I was a child. Odd how your life resembles my life, and you are so young. Hope your wife will be well and recovered soon. ❤ Sandra Wales UK.

Thank you for opening my eyes and getting me back on track! I now take stuff to the senior thrift store instead of bringing it home. Thank you for helping others and sharing so much of your time. Sending prayers for the surgery!

Welcome! I cannot remember what I did with my days before MMC. I am disabled for 21 years this month and there are a lot of things I can no longer do like Vacuum, mop, shop, cook. I can empty the dishwasher silverware and I insist that I have to do it. It makes me feel better when I focus on what I have accomplished instead of what I have not accomplished. I do not ever want to live in filth or become a hoarder. I just need help.

I absolutely agree with @pink. What I have found endearing about your videos is your understanding and acceptance of mental and emotional challenges, and how environments make such a huge difference in peoples’ emotional wellbeing. Angel, I can’t tell you how many of my most favourite podcasters and KZbinrs spend too much time explaining to a handful of haters. Please hear this fan say what I said to all of them. Please don’t interrupt your devoted audience’s time. We love every moment. Bless you. Amen. 🇬🇧

As a family dr I can only reinforce what I assume you already know - working 100 hrs a week will end up with you burning out and/or getting sick. If you are tired then put up a message saying “I am on holidays” - then, clean and tidy without filming it, play your video game - if its too difficult then try a new one just for fun, or go running, or hiking or biking or anything that distracts your brain without exhausting yourself. It’s easy for a hobby to become an obsession; a job to become a lifestyle and take over everything. You can do your stuff without recording it - your fans are just that, your fans. We all admire your work. We aren’t going to walk away because you take some time away from the video camera and have some privacy. Whatever you do or don’t do, try and be as kind to yourself as you would be to your wife and children. I wish you and your family a happy, healthy, safe and successful new year.

I bought a 125 year old boarding house that had been a multifamily rental it's entire life. The landlord had hundreds of books in the basement. Past tenants had left old broken musical gear. I found some useful tools. I spent the first year just taking loads of books to thrift stores and removing rotting wooden objects from the muddy furnace room. In the yard I had started clearing overgrown brush, and a pile of PVC pipe started emerging from the dirt. I would pick it up, and then a month later there would be more PVC pipes coming to the surface. It's like the house keeps producing junk from a magical portal.

Mac, I love the way you demonstrate how to be. Like YOU GAVE US A GIFT and people complain - yet here you are, patiently educating, because so many of us have neuro & cognitive problems that some need to be "clued in" to social things - as in, "this is how it is" or "when you see this, it's this." Some people will never learn, and then - how's that go? "Then it's a YOU problem." (Meaning them) Great job! I have to go, so I'll watch the rest when I can - just, thank you for the 1st extra bonus AND for this.

Emily, I just cleaned and organized my craft room in the basement too. I bought the cafe curtain rod brackets and a long dowel, both are cheap. I hung the brackets and put all of my ribbon spools on the dowel so I can see it when I’m working and just cut what I need. I bought clear plastic shoe boxes with covers at the dollar store and sorted my crafting supplies into them and labeled each. It makes it easier because they are see through and I just stack them at one end of my table like yours. As a fellow crafter it will never always stay neat and organized but lots easier now to work with. I feel like we crafters are sometimes judged for hoarding which is so far from the truth. We don’t use all of one thing at a time and when we need it we have it. Great job Mack and the racks sound interesting and really helpful

You are so right about government assistance: Those who have never had to survive in this way are very lucky! And those who have been on this assistance know why it's necessary. Today, seniors can qualify for a box with an assortment of food, including government cheese. They can pick up these boxes every month at the food banks, in addition to the food they're allowed at the food banks.

When I watched the last video, I was most concerned about the weight of some of those boxes. Please take care of yourself. 💖

I have tried to study your sorting and cleaning techniques so that I can clear out my mess of a house. Not trying to make excuses for myself but depression and anxiety suck. Your videos inspire me to try to do better for myself. Keep up the good work.

I realized I like watching your videos because my itch for cleaning cannot be scratched right now...just had surgery #7 on my ankle. I can't walk, stand...but I sure can sit and watch stuff. So, uh, thanks for that! Also, I get it. People generally assume I am angry or not in the best mood either...the only people grinning during hard, physical labor are insane people. Or those trying to sell PineSol. I say nope, not grouchy, I am just deeply, deeply exhausted and in a ton of pain. At least you can push through that for a while to do what you need to do...which is half of what causes the exhaustion, the mind partitioning and focus.

My master bathroom, especially the tub became the dumping ground. In order to have Christmas in the living room. You’re easy to relate to.

Making my bed makes a big difference as does a shiny mirror or sink. When I get up in the morning, go to the washroom & see the shiny sink & mirror, I immediately feel at least a little better. When I go to make breakfast & see that my kitchen sink is shiny, it automatically boosts my mood.

I've just come in from cleaning out my shed, what a filthy mess! It's not pristine, but at least it's tidy and I can get to stuff! Thanks for your inspiration, Mack! xx

I have used the laundry sheets, they are really nice in the washing machine I have ( it is newer). If the load has a lot of dirt I put in two sheets. This is a great video and I love watching your channel!

Beans is so beautiful. Just let him sit in the plant. Just this one time. I recently moved and my space is very different, so I'm going through a similar dilemma regarding how to organize and store my craft supplies. It's pretty overwhelming and I haven't started yet, but this video definitely gave me some inspiration to at least get started!
