Honestly, Bedrock might as well not have even gotten included. We got like 5% of the stuff that Java Edition got, we didn't get the dimension which was the whole thing about the update, and we can't get achievements/trophies if we play with the update.

I heard a rumor about Mojang ditching Java version and going completely with bedrock, but if theyre going to do that, they had better stop dishing out this sort of crap, and they had better put Java stuff in as well, (Axe damage, hold right click for shield, hardcore mode, the F3 screen, doors making a air pocket in water, and much more)

I think bedrock is better for a close to vanilla experience while still having new game changing items, while Java is better for going all out on the nonsense, to the point where it is the opposite of a vanilla experience in every way in both gameplay and additions

not looking to be the downer in this situation, but the half-baked textures and mobs would likely not be the case. What is important to look at is all the new functions they threw into this one, because there are many cases were the April Fools joke predicted later additions to the real game.

The effort you see is the ability to go off the rails, because it's on an experimental version that is fully warning that it's not meant for your permanent worlds AND it's only on Java. The rest of the time with the main game's development in mind, they WILL NOT put anything out that isn't fully fleshed and will be coming in a new update. They won't let things like Bundles ever happen again. So you can call all of their typical releases a lack of effort, but it's genuinely more than likely hundreds of concepts that die because they don't fit the base game enough.

The Potato Balloon looked fun. So I spent a lot of time getting Poisonous Potatoes to make one. In the process I thought: what if I plant and immediately harvest a potato? Would I sometimes get a PP? Well, once in a long while I would get zero potatoes, and once in a not-quite-so-long while I would get two potatoes. I finally harvested enough full-grown plants to get the PP and made my balloon. So the question of PP from immediate re-harvest is pending. I had a lead, and placed my balloon indoors so I had time to lead it. Then I led it outdoors and it came, and I attached it to a fence. I then sat on it and floated up. And up. And up snapping the lead. Oops. Fun. Splat. I'm done with the Bedrock update.

I spent some careful time, two days (no nights) harvesting/planting a single spot. I got zero PP. When I lost a potato I realized after a long while that there was a shadow bouncing around just out of view. So, there was the missing potato. And spending 20 minutes doing this and seeing the number of potatoes in my hand After planting, I now suspect that I may have not gotten any extra -- as, at the end of the day, I harvest the potato and that is one more than I had for most of the time. Anyway, not a good use of time.
