I think moving back home was a very smart move! There is nothing more precious in life than family and being close enough to support each other on a moment’s notice. Your new home has such beautiful finishes, character and an absolutely gorgeous yard to work with. I wish you all the best. There are definitely pros and cons to selling Myrtle Beach, but follow your heart and take the path God leads you to and you’ll be happy in the end.

Agree, my husband and I are in early and mid 70's. We just downsized from a large 2 story to a 2bdrm condo. My what you accumulate in yrs in a home. Our family is so close and that means the world to us.

60 yr old house has better bones than any new construction today,then they upgraded everything, u have the best of both worlds!! Oh my! We just moved a week ago from our large 2 story home of 40 years to a small condo. We have boxes upon boxes to unpack and find room for! I so understand how overwhelming it can be to move. On top of that, we had to put our darling little dog to sleep this morning, he was 16yo. I've been crying off and on all day.

I think you'll find that this is a extremely "easy to live in house", the ranch, the arrangement of the living room and the kitchen, and the wonderful back yard. You'll be closer to the folks as they get older (yeah, I know they are spry now, but aging happens). Renting can be a mess when someone tears up your stuff, so I pray you can sell both the house and the RV. God Bless You.

So happy for you both! What an amazing experience you had getting the perfect new home too! My husband and i bought our house with 2 acres, 18 years ago in PA. When we were house hunting, this house was so hard to get into because the seller was stubborn and would never agree to let our realtor show the home unless he was here. Our realtor spent months trying to find us something else, but my heart kept bringing me back here. Low and behold, the seller was heading into foreclosure unless he could sell and she got us in! We were in love with the rural town, the property...so much so that we didn't even care what condition the house was in, lol. Well, it was built in the 70's and hadn't been updated, but it didn't mattter, it was meant to be ours ❤. My husband and i spent 4 years fixing and updating one room at a time plus painting the exterior before we had kids. I still feel so thankful that we got the house we wanted...to raise our kids in and be our forever home 😊.

I have a Big Tip from experience... don't get glass doors for the shower they are a nightmare to clean and they actually take away a lot from the beauty of the walls. Y'all need to get some beautiful shower curtains and tie them back on the wall when they dry like you do on a window in the daytime and that will be the cherry on top for y'all's shower ~ God Bless 🙏🥰

Love living in a brick ranch style farmhouse on our large property. We have the regular ceilings (not vaulted) saves on electricity. Plus we have a geothermal system. We’ve been here almost 2 years and haven’t had a bill for heating, cooling or electricity over $40.

If you want advice on a window treatment for it, please look into a solar/roller shade. If you need advice on covering windows, I sell them. Your baths are beautiful with that shiny tile!
