Keep in mind, though, Austin's known for being weird. Things like this probably fit into the "Just another day in Austin" category. It'd probably be appreciated more somewhere that doesn't have a thriving music scene. I know if we did this up here near UNT, people would probably be like, "Those crazy music majors..." and not "What beautiful Puccini"

Take any Texas' city and they all have only a small elite of people that appreciate classical music, the rest is just tuned to football, baseball etc. You figure it? We have that best seats for an opera performance: Once a week on our sofa with a glass of bubbly and a selection from our library of opera performances

This was in Austin, Texas. The milling around of people and those that continued to do their shopping embarrass me. They show that there is a serious lack of culture in this city, the most liberal city in Texas. God help us.
