Surprise Room Makeover For Teenage Girl

I looked at Abbie's room a week or so ago and it made me sad. I think it was comfortable for her but it was boring and not a teenage girl room. Let's fix that!

The thing I really like about this is it doesn't look like you spent hundreds upon hundreds of dollars. A lot of the stuff was on sale. Usually when KZbin parents redecorate their child's room, they talk about all these fancy, designer places. You went to Target, Hobby Lobby, etc. I really enjoyed watching this as you are so humble. I'm so happy your daughter enjoyed her room! You did so well. ❤

It looks like Abbie liked it a lot!! I'm always glad to see the support you all give her. Just out of curiosity, and I know the title says it was a surprise, but I still wonder if you told her you were going to redecorate? I have high functioning autism, not anywhere near the severity that Abbie has, but I know that if someone did something for me as a surprise, like change my room or change something about my daily living habits, it may make me very uncomfortable and anxious because we tend to like having things the same way. Change can be difficult, especially surprises! So I'm just curious how you handled this with her? Maybe it's different because of the severity, and I wouldn't be able to relate. Thank you!
