@@Lidia_AF Did you read the linked article? Clearly the owner of the dog concerned allowed it, presumably intimidated by the flight attendant's insistence that she comply. It is, after all, a legal requirement that you do as instructed by the airline crew at all times. You would need a lot of self-confidence to argue and risk being restrained and arrested on arrival at the destination, however wrong the attendant's decision turned out to be and how apologetic the airline customer services happened to be after the event.

i agree! i'm only 28 but my family has had cats for 20 years. not having a cat in college was so hard. now, though, i've got a lovely tiny tabby myself (she's about the same age as nala, i think) who i've had since she was 5 weeks old, and i swore the second i held her she'd be going with me if i ever move out. anywhere i go, she will. and if she can't go, i won't go.

I've had cats all my life and in college for 4 years I couldn't have a pet.. it was rather hard. moving back my brother's cat always came to me... so he bonded with me more than him. and after he died.. (the cat) I've been alone again... I did find a stray kitten at a park but I couldn't afford to feed or keep him at the time.. now I feel more stable again..and may finally get myself a new rescue kitty soon :)) maybe around Christmas.

We have those here in the US too. It's called the Auto Train. My parents use it on their trips to and from Florida every year. The car goes onto it's own compartment and they go to the passenger cars.

Not all airlines. I can take my cats in a carrier as long as it fits under the seat in the USA. It’s a collapsible one and all the airlines I’ve flown let me take them. They do charge you a lot though. Many are getting stricter about pets since so many people have licensed their pets as support therapy animals.🌻

Re-watching: what a "hellish" trip this must have seemed. Yet you have lovely drone shots and music and Nala just takes it all in. 22 hour trip. OK. Just a man driving around while petting his cat. Then why is it so ADORABLE?! Especially when Nala sat straight up on the armrest, curious and alert. Then @13:46 when she actually meowed "Yeah!" when Dean asked if she was Ok :). Some tense moment there at the Pet Reception. Why that guy didn't immediately invite such a charming, and obviously well-taken care of, kitty like Nala into their borders will remain a mystery to me. I mean look at her @14:45 sitting up like a meerkat and meowing "Hi, hi" to him and all. It cost extra for Nala in the end but oh, well, she's EXTRA and more than worth it :). That lovely moment with your Gran and her dog (a Westie mix?), so so SWEET! Have a good home stay and keep us all posted!
