So glad you finally went and got checked and you’re recovering well. My friend always refused to go for a smear test and unfortunately we lost her to cervical cancer a few years ago. 😢 It’s such a quick thing to do and really does save lives. Thank you for sharing your experience - if it helps one other woman it was well worth all your nerves (we couldn’t see them though). Can’t wait to see the Crocs and if you like them who cares what anyone else thinks - really keen to hear if they are as comfy as everyone says.

oh my gosh 😢 this brought a tear to my eye. im so sorry. This is why I wanted to share, it takes no time at all and the scare factor of the test makes sos many not go when it can save you from cervical cancer but it also gives them a chance to make sure you are healthy in other areas 🤍

Hugs Sophie. I have endometriosis and I get a yearly Pap smear test since I was 22 years old. I have my right ovary removed because a tumor destroyed it. I had another surgery to remove cyst and a blood clot on left ovary. Yes pap smear are so important for health.

Sophie....so glad you did go have your surgical procedure! Sometimes, what you do can be the thing that saves your life! My colonoscopy at 51 (my 1st) detected my neuroendocrine cancer of the appendix. Had I not done that procedure, my cancer could have gone undetected. Grateful that you're okay!

So glad you finally went to get tested, followed-through with the surgery and are now spreading the word to your audience. Pap tests and annual breast exams/mammography are essential for every woman. And, for everyone, so are annual skin cancer exams by a dermatologist.

Thank you so much for sharing! It's interesting to hear what age tests start in each country. In the US I had my first smear when I was 18. I turned 40 during the pandemic and once normal screenings resumed, I had to get a mammogram. I'm really glad you got checked and that you were able to have your surgery with your sister there to support you.

It really is, their should be a world wide age. it can happen at any age so the earlier you can check the better. Having family over really did help keep me relaxas must as possible
