I don't really think Lina's win should be that controversial tbh bc even tho Melissa (which is AMAZING and would've been a perfect winner too) had a better overall track record, ppl seem to forget or refuse to aknowledge that Lina still had 3 wins under her belt and a lot of winners had 1 or 2 bottom placements when they won their season, it wasn't an Elecktra Bionic moment where it came totally out of the blue, also Melissa's drag style is similar to La Diamond, very opulent, very pageant-y and ofc perfect, so maybe crowning Lina was also somewhat determined by her drag being different from the previous winner. I don't think Priscilla was jealous of Melissa tbh, she even defended her and shaded other judges for some of the comments they made about her. At the end of the day both Lina and Melissa deserved the crown for their work during drag race, they are good friends who support each other and I think it's best to give both of them (and the rest of the girls) more support, coming from a smaller franchise and a country that isn't really well known (yet) for its drag scene instead of fighting over who should wear a piece of glass over her head.

I think Melissa not winning was less about not wanting a Brazilian winner and more to do with the fact Italy has one of the most dangerously conservative governments they've ever had atm and Lina is a very outspoken activist and coveys that in her drag too.
