John Lee I think I was in such a calm mood when I put this on Non stop Dan there is so much hatred on internet now but I am lucky my husband was playing a beautiful Mozart piece on our piano and I was thinking poor Mozart he took his Mum on a trip to Europe to make money at concerts and she died in Paris France when he was just in his Twenties. I have another thing with him I’m so worried about the planet and climate change because of pollution so I’m wanting Airbus and Boeing to forge ahead with low Emission quiet safe aircraft fit for the 21st Century were really into recycling in Europe. I wrote a letter to my son to keep for when I’m no longer here telling him I’m sorry for the dirty planet I’m leaving you and my grandkids of the future to deal with. Try hard to make it better and stay strong that will be my message to him. It’s the sort of thing he would expect I would say and being brought up with 2proper role models gives you strength to cope with all the hatred on the internet and get a great education🍀✈️🇬🇧👩👨‍💼

Yesterday, I learned that Qantas set 0 waste policy for their flights. So they will reduce 75% of the waste and use recycled and recycable items for tickets, tissues, cups etc. It took my attention and made me admire about them. I hope every airline will take these kind of actions.

Qantas trialed a zero waste flight recently. However, there is a 75% target by 2021. So no zero waste for many years yet as trying to reach the zero target will be difficult. Considering how wasteful the airline industry is, this is a good initiative.

@baby turtle Ah well duh, fuel (specifically jet fuel) needs to be wasted or more accurately 'consumed' in order for a plane to fly. I think the point you were trying to make was that flying planes, specifically jet engine planes is very bad for the environment. However, considering planes are going to continue to fly in record numbers the zero waste initiative is a step in a good direction.

@baby turtle I don't understand why you're even directing such a question to me, as It's not my decision to stop people from jet setting all over the planet. Frankly, the planet is doomed. It's far too hard to change all of our human habits to heal the planet. All of us need to stop consuming and mass breeding to heal the planet. It's a lot more difficult than some may imagine. Minor changes like what's being promoted on a daily basis e.g. emissions reductions are nowhere near enough. Don't get me started on plastic, which is frankly worse than emissions and virtually nothing is being done to address the plastic disaster. Plastic consumption is just growing and growing. The system is broken, but to fix the broken system it will cause a social and civilization collapse the likes we have never seen before. The rich and powerful don't want a collapse for very obvious reasons. However, the collapse will happen one day, but by that stage they (the rich and powerful) will be living on another planet. Humans have been the worst thing possible for this planet, maybe it's time we became extinct? I'm being realistic in regards to the impending environmental disaster and not a virtue signalling dreamer like many.

I love qantas. They’ve been amazing to me for the entire 27 years I’ve flown with them. They show their true Australian hospitality and if you’re heading from AU or NZ to anywhere you’re gonna have amazing airplane food! (Which is a tough feat). I’ve also had excellent service when having to make a complaint, their customer service is above and beyond. Can’t explain how much I love this company. Hope I get to upgrade from business to first one day!

I Love Qantas! They are the best airline you can fly with. The cabin service is genuine friendly, not fake or forced. They get better and better especially with the new ultra long haul coming soon.

We flew QF1 SIN-LHR in first Class in October last year, you are correct the service was even better than Qatar ( although in business) and the seat and bed are the best we have ever flown on. Service as always on Qantas was top shelf, being introduced by name by the cabin supervisor and flight attendants adds to the experience.

@@abskhairoun The purpose is to fly direct between Australia's populated East Coast (Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane) and Europe (London, Paris etc.). This has never been possible with current aircraft but with the new ultra long range aircraft proposed by Airbus and Boeing it is only a few years away now.

Great vid Dan - love all of them. As a vego QF FF, I have to say though, you missed out on some great vego options on the First main menu. I often ditch my loaded vego meal after reviewing the menu - I noticed your menu options included a tomato, saffron and chickpea soup with coriander yoghurt for entree, and pan-fried gnocchi with roasted cherry tomatoes, zucchini, asparagus and burnt butter (if you're dairy free, ditch the burnt butter)

I 😍 Qantas. Have flown 1st class 3 times and again next May. Always friendly, down-to-Earth interractions, yummy food and truly a time to feel special. Qantas is excellent with upgrading with points. Assures most seats are booked and consumers are happy. Keep those flight vids coming, please Dan.

I'm from perth and if you're going to spend the extra cash to fly first class to London then I'd highly recommend you fly another airline than Qantas. Qantas business and first classes are very substandard compared to the Arab airlines or Singapore airlines. Qatar qsuite business class out does Qantas first class. British Airways is worst but if you stay away from those two you'll get better value for your money

I know that Qantas have been consulting with experts to try and reduce jet lag in customers through food etc. This was happening on the Dreamliner (Perth-London). Maybe that could explain a less exciting menu - reduced meal sizes and green leafy vegetables was one of the things they spoke about in an article I read.

Hey! I’ve recently flown this first class and it’s so amazing! To answer your question about first class being full, Qantas flyers usually will book a business class ticket and qantas will upgrade them, usually only 5 or 8 seats are booked by people and the rest are people who have been upgraded 😁

10:10 One nice tool they have is that all the staff have an iPad with all passenger details and notes. Qantas flight attendants are required to remember at least first and business by name. But being an aviation photographer my favourite thing is it was recorded once against my name in notes and now on every international (even domestic), the CSM (Customer Service Manager) will pre-arrange meet and greet post flight with pilots as a courtesy. Best trick though was on a flight from LAX-SYD they gave me 3 seats to myself on a full flight marking the seats next to me as unserviceable (to ensure no one could snag them). They admitted this after take off.

Flew the Qantas A380 in December DFW->SYD in economy with my family and was blown away by the service. Also, the best airline in terms of food options for food allergies.

I am glad they looked after you. I have used Qantas quite a lot locally. Only four segments internationally. Of the four segments, three were unquestionably outstanding. One segment was dire. I flew London to Sydney return last year where it was Emirates for 3 of the legs and Qantas from Dubai to Sydney. As it was business travel I was forced to fly economy and the Qantas leg far exceeded the other 3 Emirates flights in terms of comfort and especially food. The fish red curry was amazing!! All 4 flights were on the A380.

Oh my goodness. First class has gone leaps and bounds in the past 20 years. We used to have only large reclining seats and fancy food from Brisbane to LAX. No private pods. 2-2 configuration.

The Qantas hard product is great but their soft product is hit and miss. I've had the best and worst service on a Qantas flight. As its my national carrier, I want to see it do well, my only wish was that their service was more consistent throughout. Glad you got to experience the good side of the Aussie hospitality.

We have flown two trips to Australia from the USA, and hope about stops. All flights were better than any us carriers. We flew economy, but were upgraded to first class on one flight, wonderful service. Every attendant was very friendly.

Koenigsegg Agera rs 44 personally i fly A LOT, so i’d say a loose baggy jean with T shirt and sneakers or slides is comfy for most males. However as a female, i usually wear leggings slides and a nice shirt. You don’t want to show up at the airport looking like trash. make the best image of yourself but wear a few comfy items 🤙🏻

I think I would actually prefer Qantas. It looks more spacious and not so boxed in like the Emirates suites and I must say on the times I've flown emirates business class I've not been impressed by their service at all! Great Video (as per normal) Love Qantas. We flew Qantas from BNE to LAX (return) economy. The attention to service was fantastic and the amount of food and drinks you got was amazing. Have flown many other airlines and I totally agree. Qantas is up there with the best of them. Even in Economy. 😀❤
