$2 Street Haircut in Saigon, Vietnam. In this video I visit a street barber in Saigon, Vietnam to get myself the haircut experience that I was looking for a few days ago when I visited the Vietnamese salon. I will also be surprising this Vietnamese man with an amazing tip since he was very honest with me and talked to me a lot about his family. This is by far one of my favorite videos filmed to date and I'm sure you will enjoy it also!

I respect you. When I’ve traveled overseas I see many tourists that don’t bother to even tip at restaurants or tour guides. People don’t understand that any tip is greatly appreciated specially in other parts of the world. The young boys in Son La barbers didn’t want paying after they trimmed my beard. Offered drinks, smokes, handshakes all whilst being in the ‘poorest’ provinces. It says a lot. No one is interested in cheating you out of your money here despite the ‘lack of it’. It’s honestly so refreshing 🥰

Just to let you guys know, his name is Cường, and he has been my father's friend for a long time. Maybe before I was born, they have a perfect friendship until now their friend is never faded. And I can make sure that his personality is really good, he never asks for more money after a haircut but just like you do, my dad gives him extra money too. I think because my father doesn't have much time to go downtown to see him and when he has time, he just wants to go there and have a relaxed conversation with Mr. Cường. I’ve lived in Vietnam for a few years. It’s true there are a lot of hard working and HONEST people living there. They know you make more in the US compare to them but still they still give you a “local price” because they don’t want to cheat guests or anyone. I did lots of charity there too, had the same reaction from people. I could feel I made their day. While in the U.S. people would yell at you if you don’t tip them well sometimes for a shitty job they’ve done😂

to us 40 bux isn't breaking the bank but for the people in those SE Asian countries it means alot. It means they can buy their children food, gas, and some luxuries that we take for granted. Your hair maybe overdone, but it still looks good, and you still look good. Your spirit (kindly gesture and cool spirit dealing with the extremely hot weather with no fan, breeze and whatnot while getting a haircut) is over power all that which made you even look a lot better. With that kind of heat, I don't know if I could keep a cool spirit like you, but you did it. And the man was speechless of your kind gesture. That's awesome!
