Doug, I just bought my first canoe... age 53.... and a long time coming. She’s a beaut... a dilapidated old 15.5 Ram-X Pelican. A 3 seater with only one seat and 3 warped wooden paddles. Restoration underway. She’s a junker but she’s all mine. Heavy like a brick. It won’t be my last canoe, but she’s my first and special thank you’s are in order. First it was Joe videos, my first inspiration. Then Joe had this friend. I didn’t his friend at first. He was obnoxious and picked his nose. I purposely skipped Joe videos with his new friend. Somehow, someway I forced myself to watch a Doug Outside episode. I can’t remember witch was my first, then I watched another and another and another. You Tube is a funny place... but there are diamonds in the rough, you just have to find them. Since then, I’ve carved a snowman, a 5 minute fantastical Wood spirit ( took me like an hour-and-a-half plus) I’ve redesigned my garage for wood working etc... etc... What I’m trying to say is... THANK YOU. You, Joe, Shawn, Scott, O... you guys inspired me to make a change. For the better. And I’m sure I’m not the only person out there you gentlemen have inspired. Don’t take this lightly. You four... five... (I was told there would be no math) have developed into quite a force. You have power. The power to inspire and change people... for the best. A little hobby has blossomed. Now you have a presence. I would argue your mission has come to fruition. Shawn is a god, Joe is bigger than life, Scotty is feeling his oats, and O is Oh. Singly you are great, together you feed and grow and make the sky the limit. If I was a younger man, I might be inspired to name my first son Doug. Then by chance I might name the second boy Shawn. The family dog... well he’d be named Joe. ( disclaimer-Joe is the man! You know it, I know it, and everybody that watches knows it - No disrespect intended.... he’s more popular than candy corn on halloween, and he’s earned the right to call himself King’ He’s the instigator in my life’s big change. Without Joe, I’d have never discovered you, Shawn or Scott. I’ve always been an outdoor’s man... from birth, but now I have a new perspective on life and rediscovered what the outdoors mean. Joe and Scout have touched so many lives. His hard work, cinematography, patients, person sacrifice, dedication (by- the-way my 13-year-old son just informed me that I’m wasting my time writing this... he said you’d you’d never read this.... in the end... maybe you will maybe you won’t ... but if you do, it would be great to share with the others, because without them, you wouldn’t have the impact that you’ve had - nor would my young son be riding center boat as my oldest son and myself paddle him to our secret lake.) I apologize for the long wind. I’m ex photojournalist and a bit of a novelist by trade. Too make a short story very long, I thank you and the others for your selfless dedication to the art of entertainment with a purpose.... the inspiration you provide is PRICELESS. THANK YOU. You are a good man. Your American Friend, Michael Glennon Atlanta, Georgia

Pulled the trigger on the bivy eh? Is it better than the Aurora or Advanced? Nice surprise walleye. Cali and I are going to have to do a mid week trip in there in the next week or two - maybe try fly fishing for bass.

Those bluegill are possibly my 13yrold sons favorite fish to catch. Which works well cause I love eating them. Respectfully of course, generally only keep a few to eat. Refuse to overdo it and ruin a good thing

That's the nice thing about a canoe. You don't disturb the wildlife with a noisy motor. Your hidden lake reminds me of a place near Mont-Laurier, QC, (Notre-Dame de Pontmain) where I used to go with my father. He also went there with his father when he was young. Beautiful memories.
