That was a great improvement that made the lady happy. Even though the platform deck was a snug fit, two screws on each side would be a good idea to keep it in place. The boat will shift and vibrate during use. Which will loosen that snug fit. But, great job!!! No more outhouse on the boat!!!👍🤣🎉

Use adhesive and screws, epoxy, don’t forget the plywood’s edges to seal, and paint. Keep the value of your boat as high as possible! And don’t forget to put at least two coats of white epoxy in the bilge!

I apologize for being so direct. I’ve been watching several of your videos, boating, weather sail or power is a steep learning curve. You three are doing great and hopefully having a lot of enjoyment from your experiences. And keep making these entertaining videos for everyone. I’m stuck in between boats at the moment so watching you fills in the gap.

Nice work! For future projects I’d suggest using marine plywood rather than the standard Home Depot stuff. It’s much better for marine use, especially in a damp area like a head. Like any wood, it’s not waterproof, but better than standard.

When we bought our defever 43 in the fall, I wasn’t able to get our vacuum flush system working as its dependent upon the freshwater system. So for our list in the spring when we start working on it that is number one on our list, per my wife

I have noticed since Jenn took over as skipper 6 episodes ago a massive amount of maintenance has been completed. All joking aside Eliot nice touch on completeing the forward head. Forgot to mention this in last vid. Our slider out of the salon by the lower helm was a huge issue with water incursion. Keep up the great work and be safe.

Haha there’s a correlation there! Thanks for the tip Jeffrey, I’ll take a look and make sure to seal it up nice and tight!

Great job. I am on my 5th boat - so I’ve done many similar projects, and I have usually made templates. But you did an amazing job simply measuring ! You both are great. I am not a big KZbin follower but your production quality is fantastic. Keep up the great work. My first boat in Seattle was a 1935 36 foot cabin cruiser and I quickly learned that this is all about the journey NOT the destination. You all are the best.

I think there were a lot of small things, and most were because the boat was on the hard for so long. The P.Os never had the boat in the water so I imagine some they didn’t even know about!
