Very true. My older brother bought me my first guitar when I was living in the dorms, back in 1995. A Guld D4 acoustic. The guitar has aged so well in the near 30 years I've had it.

There's no better gift to receive than a new guitar. I've been so blessed twice, in 1974 with a big, fat Takamine (lawsuit) 12 string, and in 1985 with a blonde, Dan Smith Strat (with an absolutely amazing tone!) She seems well pleased and will no doubt enjoy playing her treasured guitar for many years, that's a very nice gift!

I have a similar color (surf green) Squier Strat - not nearly as nice as this Fender but it has the same color scheme with the dark fretboard and white pickguard... it's very much at the top of my list for color combos... One thing I like even more on this Fender is that the headstock has almost a roasted look to it - much darker than my Squier (and the one thing I wish was different with it)... overall just beautiful. You can tell she was really taken off guard by it - well done !

Interesting. I want this color Strat as well. But the color "birch green" on Fender's site doesn't look anything like how it does in your video. This looks more like what they picture as "surf green". Now I'm wondering what surf green actually looks like. The guitar center in my area doesn't have either of those colors in stock so I can't go see them. I also like the maple neck, but that's only available in surf green. I guess I could just order it from guitar center and then return it in store if I don't like it.

This likely is surf green... I think Lucas may have had that wrong / the person he got it from didn't have it right... Surf green is a pretty iconic Fender color and this is most likely it... lighting can make it tricky to tell... they make another very similar color called seafoam green - I can never remember which is a bit lighter shade but I *think* it's the surf green...

mine had sharp edges ( i think this happens when u ship everthing in just a box), and the cnc cutter marc on the neck was ridicoluos awful... even 200$ Squiers dont have this issue. So i returned it ... But i played another one in a store without issues so must be bad luck :(
