A lot of them will get mad and tell them they will lose their whole fan base if they get married they’re not supporting them if they get married maybe they want to marry somebody outside of their culture in a race that will make it even worse so they feel it’s better to stay single.

Just because we don't see them dating doesn't mean they are single. Few weeks ago in a yt talk show Ji Chang Wook admitted he likes to "date and break up quietly". Who could blame him when most of the fans have chosen delulu as a solulu and they think they own their idols, hunting them like a pray for the smallest sign of a relationship??? I am pretty sure most of the actors/idols have no choice but being discreet about their love life if they want to stay sane. Also - not everyone dreams of being married.

Maybe marriage for them wouldn't be legal or would hurt their careers. Some of them may be in long term relationships, but in SK's litigious society where you can be sued for saying anything that may harm someone's carefully constructed image even if it is true, folks will be quiet about celeb's relationships even if it is an open secret in the industry. Then again, some people simply don't want to get married or be parents.

I find it sad there is pressure in many quarters of the Korean entertainment industry to push the actors and actresses into staying single to ensure they keep their fan bases - there seems like so much drama around their private lives. The netizens need to leave them alone. At the end of the day these actors are human and have the same needs for human connection, including romantic relationships, as any other person. It's sad many don't get to enjoy that without fan interference.

Its very hard for Koean actors to have a gf how much more get married. Fans and paparazzi alike scrutinize these actors so much that they think they have the right to chose partners for their idols. If people just let them be and don’t pressure them so much then probably they will make time to lead normal and happy lives. Fans sometimes gets carried away that they dictate to their idols what path to take in their personal lives. Why can’t we give them room to be human and freely let them chose their own future. They are humans too just like us and they are entitled to be happy. As fans, we can support them, love them and respect them and let them live normal lives. It is a pity to see young actors commit suicide because of the negative backlash they get from their fans and the entertainment world altogether. How can they survive without the proper support system they need. Too much expectations from these actors can lead them to loneliness too. We should respect their choices in the work they chose. They too need to make a living. We can support them from afar and give them room to do their jobs in entertaining us. Allow them to be happy doing what they do best. Respect, love and support is what they need from us. We owe them that. Let them freely chose their partners in life and let us support them with their choices. Let us remember that it is their choice and not ours. I am a filipina with two bouts of cancer and I have seen what pain can do to people. We come from a poor country where it is hard to survive that is why we love to watch k dramas. I too love to watch korean dramas that is why I support these actors. I even pray for their well being that they will find peace and joy that they will find true meaning in life. Praying that they will find faith in God who is the giver of all good things and have the joy they deserve. Good day everyone.❤

It’s said just to get people riled up. Of course we don’t now the future of these young people. They have to devote probably 100% of their time to their careers, making drama series, going on game shows, being interviewed, promoting their latest projects, constantly on the move. They’re committed to their contracts because being a kpop-type actor or actress can have a short shelf life if the acting skills aren’t there and they only depend on their looks.

Why is having a girlfriend or boyfriend so important? Many actors and actresses want to keep their fan base because the reality is that many immature fans lose interest once an actor or actress has a personal relationship. Plus building one’s career takes up so much of their time that they don’t have time to commit to a relationship because they’re already committed to their contracts which might have a clause about dating or not having a romantic relationship.
