Dude didn't want to spend the five minutes necessary to figure out how the device he's reviewing works. It is for this man that Apple and Samsung exist. Ejoy the prison of your own making, good sir.

Haha, wow the hate on this video is crazy. Yes I did make a mistake in not going into the correct setting to enable the reverse find your phone feature, I did correct it in the video however and made sure everyone knew it wasn't a Moto issue. I did briefly review the information but I try to some of these unboxings and setup's just as any user would be doing it so there are mistakes made, downside of being human I guess, and I could have redone the video but I never intentionally try to mislead anyone or omit things so I leave the mistakes in. I don't use any Apple products, their hardware is great but I do not like their software and the Samsung SmartTag2 is on par with the Air Tag as far as quality and function and it's the best Android tracker for a Samsung device by a long shot. If you watched any of my later videos where I discuss the Moto Tag after a trip I took you would have seen I stated that it is the best Android tracker that's not a Samsung device available. At the time of this recording they did not have the camera button capability active, they just recently pushed a firmware update that enabled it, so it was missing a feature that was supposed to be there. I actively use the Moto Tag and my SmartTag2 trackers so what you call a prison I call a choice. Competition is good and it exists to give options, different strokes for different folks lol. Thanks for watching and your comment however, it is appreciated!

If it isn't loud, it's useless, because it could be in another room or under something. And I lose my phone at least 2 or 3 times a week so that feature would be vital!
@GadgetGuysSmartHome24 күн бұрын
Thanks for your comment. Even though it is not super loud it does have the ability to help guide you to a close proximity of your tracker. If you are using the tracker to find your phone, the phone audible is fairly loud so I don't think that would be an issue.

Just came across your video, thanks for the information, do suggest getting the moto tag? I need 2 of them for my luggage tags
@GadgetGuysSmartHomeАй бұрын
Hello and thanks for your question and for watching! If you do not have a Samsung phone then yes I'd recommend the Moto Tag over the other Android trackers. I just got back from a trip and it performed very well. I'm going to be doing a follow up video once I get everything together. You can use the link in my description to buy the tag if you'd like, it helps support the channel and doesn't increase your cost. Thanks again for your comment!

11:45 - The Moto Tag was easy to pair, though. You pulled it out and the phone showed the device. I actually haven't noticed much difference between the Moto Tag and the Samsung where I live. Apple Airtags still beat both when it comes to tracking and coverage, of course, but if you are on a non-Samsung smartphone, the Moto Tags work just fine. I honestly don't get most of your criticism of this device. The problems you complained about in the first half were mostly user error. I use two of these in my trucks and they work okay for my needs. I can't wait for Google to add UWB support but I don't have high hopes for their timeline.

Hi and thanks for watching and your comment. My biggest complaint was that the Camera function is non-existent and I had read several articles stating that it was a feature. Other than that most of the others, as I mentioned are personal preferences. I 100% forgot to go into the Moto app and enable the reverse find your phone feature, so you are correct that was user error lol. The odd thing about the pairing is that you're supposed to be able to pair it with the app first but that's not what happened. My phone discovered it via Google FMD only after I closed the Moto app. Then when I went into the Moto app again it was there. It's not really a complaint just a odd quirk, which I also saw where others had a similar experiences. I think that the Moto Tag is probably going to be the best non Samsung Android tracker that's going to be available right now, and like you, I'm hoping but not holding my breath that Google will get it together lol. Would be nice if they did, I'd sure like to test the Moto UWB on the Google FMD network. I don't have any Apple products so I can't comment on the Air Tag other than the experiences I see others have, which is always very positive. I can say out of all the ones I've tested so far the SmartTag2 has been the best by far. Thanks again for your comment!

It can use airtag holders, and how it works was in the booklet you didn't need to read.
@GadgetGuysSmartHome2 ай бұрын
I have seen where some Air tag holders work well with the Moto Tag, unfortunately I am not an Apple user and don't have any so I'd have to buy a holder. And yes you are correct lol. I would have found the feature faster had a read the booklet lol. Thanks for watching and commenting!

20:03 no GPS, they use other devices to connect
@GadgetGuysSmartHome5 күн бұрын
Yes I am aware that there is no dedicated GPS module and they use other devices to locate the device, I was more referencing the ability that it's viewable on a map, which is why I said Bluetooth GPS Trackers. There are a lot of people who refer to these types of devices as GPS trackers because of the mapping ability but I do understand how my use of GPS could be a little misleading but that was not my intent. I should have offered a little more clarification or just stated Bluetooth tracker.

Could I delete the Moto Tag App again, after configuring the tag?
@GadgetGuysSmartHomeАй бұрын
Hello and thanks for your question. I'm not sure about that I haven't tried that. Not sure if you have to leave the Motorola app installed once you configure the settings, I'd imagine the tracking would still work since it's using the Google FMD network.

9:13 no augmented reality, this isn’t Samsung
@GadgetGuysSmartHome5 күн бұрын
Yes I realized tis is not a Samsung device so comparing to their augmented reality type features might not have been totally accurate but the UWB should allow for better detailed location tracking once you are within range. Not sure about now as I have not researched it more but as of the time of this video the UWB network capability had not been enabled by Google.

Chipolo are very clear with naming. It states on the packet what it works with clearly. If I drop my key in the rain it is splash proof. I don't drop my keys in a lake as they are in a safe pocket so they don't fall into the lake. I have chipolo one. Works great and has the call phone functionality. With an android phone I will get the one point asap.
@GadgetGuysSmartHome2 ай бұрын
Hi and thanks for your comment. Well I suppose the naming is subjective, I personally find it a little confusing that they have a Chipolo One and a Chipolo One Point. The Chipolo One does not work on the Goggle FMD network. And feature for feature it doesn't compare to the other's in my opinion. All of the other trackers are at least IP65 rated which gives you better water and dust protection, so I feel that the Chipolo device is more suspectable to damage. Also, I apologize for not mentioning that they did add a feature where you can log into a web app on a computer and track your phone but my point was that there's no way to track/find your phone with the device itself, like the others. If you don't have access to a computer you can't track your phone. However this is why there are many different devices because different things are important to different people, as I said it's my opinion that feature for feature and the fact that they cost the same, the other devices offer a better value for your money. I'm glad you find the Chipolo ONE Point useful, thanks again for your comment!

Highly do not recommend showing your address and saying that you are going for a vacation in the same video. Don't see how UWB not being available yet makes this a bad device, it has the same diameter as airtag so can fit into very many accessories built for it, for example i am considering it because i want to put it on my bicycle, and it fits nicely into a bicycle bell, unlike other tags.
@GadgetGuysSmartHome2 ай бұрын
Hello and thanks for watching and commenting. That's obviously an oversight to leave the map visible as I don't typically do that even if I am not leaving, thanks for pointing that out. Regarding the Moto Tag, I never said it was a bad device I stated that it doesn't really separate itself from the competition since the UWB is not working. I also mentioned this is a Google issue not a Motorola issue. I actually believe this will end up being one of the better trackers available for Android that are not Samsung devices. I was hoping Google would get their act together and enable the feature lol. The bell idea is a creative way to use it, I would have never thought of that. That's the great thing about having options, there's something for everyone and a lot of what I don't like is my personal preference. Thanks again!

Pissed me off with the clickbait title, 5/10 video
@GadgetGuysSmartHome5 күн бұрын
I do apologize if you felt like it was clickbait; again, it was not my intention. I intended that to be more relative to some of the features, such as the UWB capability not being available. I do appreciate your detailed critique and comments and for watching. I take all of my comments as an opportunity to improve, which I constantly strive to do. I honestly feel and have mentioned in other videos how I do believe the Moto Tag is going to be one of the best Android trackers for non-Samsung devices. In my opinion, if you have a Samsung device, the SmartTag2 is the best. Thanks again!

Maybe learn how to use the product first before talking bad about the product.
@GadgetGuysSmartHome3 ай бұрын
Hi there and thanks for your comment. The only thing I really talked bad about the Tag was about Google not implementing UWB capabilities. I think the Tag with the UWB capabilities active on the FMD network could be a great device. As far as the Chipolo, regardless of how well it tracks, it's lacking some of the features the other devices have for the same cost. In my personal opinion that's already a loss for Chipolo. I'd rather spend my thirty bucks on a device that tracks the same but has better features, like IP67 dust and waterproof ratings. In my opinion the Chipolo isn't worth the cost compared to the other's.

Can't you talk about it? Which one should I get, if I don't own a Galaxy or iPhone?
@GadgetGuysSmartHome2 ай бұрын
Hi and thanks for watching and your comment. I have not had a chance yet to thoroughly test the Moto Tag and Chipolo tracker. I'll be putting them through a real world test in about 3 weeks when I go on vacation. However just based off the initial pairing and features, and the fact that the Moto Tag has UWB, even though it's not enabled yet on Google's Find My Device network, that it would be the better device. I'll be posting an updated review after I test them all so definitely hit that Bell 🔔 icon to get notified when that comes out. Thanks again.

There is so much false info in this video, it's obviously been posted to hinder Motorola's sales of the moto tag. Watch any other review on the moto tag and you will see how misinforming this video and channel is. Lost all credibility right out of the gate with one thumbs up. Probably your own. LOL

Hi there, and thanks for your comment. I take all the information I present very seriously and put a lot of effort into making sure that my videos are as accurate as possible and reflect my own opinions and experiences. I have also posted an updated video about the Moto Tag here - kzbin.info/www/bejne/qIDCnHSjeZl8m68 from a recent trip I took, and I don't give my own videos a Thumbs Up lol. Thanks again.
