This guitar seemed to be made for me. I can’t play regular teles because I hit the tone knob while I strum. I also love the simplicity of the single pickup and the options the switch gives. Love it!

I play with 9s. Love my Tele and was looking to get a 70's Deluxe to have one with humbuckers. That's when I came across the paranormal esquire. I'm a very basic player - overdrive, bar chords, palm mutes, arpeggios, punk rock. I mostly stick to the bridge pickup, so the esquire looked worth a try and the price was right. I picked one up in the metallic black and it looks and plays great!

All the Paranormals I’ve played have been consistently nicer than the CV’s QC wise, much better fit and finish and superior necks. MIC vs. Indonesia a factor? The older CV’s were MIC but not anymore, the quality isn’t what it used to be. But nearly every Paranormal (all MIC) I’ve played has been great, plus they’re very cool designs. This one sounds great also!

i have other way around, i find paranormal being just under CV. My countries store all CV are perfect while paranormal been hit n miss. I do find indonesian be better built quality, nearly perfect. I did like MIC bodie be slightly different color but I do find Necks on indonesian better color. MiC have more like a piss yellow that vintage yellow. Mic (pre 2011) had better pickups because allegedly they were made by ToneRider.

I only have experience with one Paranormal. I bought a Strat-O-Sonic. It's a great guitar. Superb workmanship, sounds and plays great. 💲?👍👍! I do have a Fender that was made in Indonesia. A limited telecaster custom fmt hh. Also a superb guitar.

The paranormals are better guitars with better necks and better, more modern specs. That's indisputable. The nonsense about older classic vibes being better than new ones is just that. Typical guitar snobbery from those that have older guitars who swear theirs are better with zero proof to back it up. (I own several CGS Classic Vibes and know better.)

I’ve loved the sound of this thing in every review I’ve seen so far. Very distinctive tones from that pickup. String gauges… I’m 9s on 25.5”, 10s on 24.75”, just to get a similar string tension. I’m actually considering 9.5s for my half-step-down 25.5”s, though.

After many years and many guitars, I now only own a custom shop Fender Esquire and I'm in love with this new paranormal esquire deluxe. I may get one as a backup.

Had some great tones from this guitar and for a single pick up just gave you all the tones you needed. Seemed a very playable guitar as well as both of you seemed to be all of the neck when playing. Very nice.

These cool, unique Squiers are awesome. It is great that they make so many truly unique Squier models, that don't even have a Fender branded equivalent, instead of nothing but cheaper versions of the exact same thing Fender puts out. Also, as far as strings, I generally use 9s on 25.5" scale, and usually 10s, but sometimes 9s, on the shorter 24", 24.75", and 25" scale lengths. Although, especially with 9s, I do often prefer the hybrid type of sets with heavier wound strings, and the normal plain strings, such as a 9-46 instead of the normal 9-42.

Answering your string question I have always used 9’s find them so much easier to play when doing full tone bends. I found Dunlop strings about a year ago (before you guys started to use them) and have been super impressed with them.

I love this thing, gotta wonder what it sounds like with a bona fide CuNiFe WR in it. I use round core all nickel 9's on Strats (w/4 trem springs,) 10's on ice picky Teles. But I have small child like hands, not ham sized mitts like SRV (13's you know...)

Is the Jag-master in the Paranormal series? I didn't even know they existed until a friend brought one to practice to let me check it out. It's the only offset I've ever played- kind of a strange guitar really. Might be a pretty good if I could do a setup on it and give it some tlc- but it's not mine. And it has HBs in it instead of the Jazz Master style pickups- so really, you're not getting the full experience. I wonder if you could put JM pickups in it- anyone know?
@TSFAHTPS Жыл бұрын
I don’t think it’s in this series…maybe an older series?!?

Nice video! I wanted to know how different you think the tone of this guitar is compared to the bridge pickup of an Epiphone Les Paul Standard. I have one but always wanted a Tele Deluxe
@TSFAHTPS Жыл бұрын
Not sure…I haven’t played anything Gibson or Epiphone in a LONG time! But we both noticed how jangly the pickup on this Squier was…so I’d say it would be quite a different pickup! This one has an almost single coil quack to it…I’d put it somewhere in between a single coil and a humbucker…lots of single coil style articulation and note separation but with more of a humbucker grunt …if that makes sense?!?

If only it had a roasted neck. I would have bought twice the amount of guitars in my life if necks were better matched with bodies.

Playing a guitar you are reviewing through 35 pedals really does defeat the purpose of giving us sound samples. Frankly a $119 Debut Stratocaster and a $6999 Custom Shop Stratocaster will sound the same through all those pedals and into an expensive amp. And, of course, a maple fretboard vs a rosewood or (your favorite fretwood) makes ZERO difference in terms of the sound because there is no such thing as tonewoods as it relates to solid body electric guitars. YOU might here it while playing, but you will NOT when playing it back and your listeners will not hear it because of how pickups work from a physics perspective. You MUST know this by now people.
@TSFAHTPS3 ай бұрын
@@Great-Documentaries I don’t think so…I think you will definitely hear a difference! Maybe if all 35 pedals were on at a the same time then yes…it would just be noise but we used one pedal at a time, they are all good quality pedals…I really don’t think they make a difference at all

I like it. The bypass tone is by far the best. for me. As a bonus, if you turn the vol all the way down, you can hit the 3rd position on the rotary like a kill switch
