Obviously I love the art, but I also REALLY like the time you take to explain each piece, like your mindset and ideas before hand, and how they transitioned to finished pieces. Thanks!

The first sketch, with the person inside of a glasslike person is probably one of my favorite pieces of art i've seen in a long time. Idk why but it just really captured my interest. Love it.

i agree, the three headed figure sketch made me feel calm and nurtured :)
@sollometari75256 жыл бұрын
Myriam, the 3 headed creature with the baby calmed me because its like it tells a sweet story of a lost child in the woods that was encountered by a harmless alien that ends up caring for the child and it also seems it tells a moral, "Don't judge a book by its cover." I love all of your art. Every piece tells a story and it just makes me want to make a story and a movie about each one. I am 13 and going to 7th grade and your art seems to give me a better perspective of the world. I'm not a professional artist like you but we do have similarities, we both like sketching weird creatures, and you just gave me the urge to write a story about your 3 headed creature. Thank you.

Clear resin would be a good option for the dome around the head of the sculpture you were discussing 😉 casting the body/ skull first and then encasing it in the resin 👍
@Wolfgirl24126 жыл бұрын
April Marie Art facts just do the i think its called the pour and tilt method in a mold were you just pour in the resin and roll it around the mold completely covering it then just build up the layers
@thepochade59926 жыл бұрын
Queen_wavey24 .. I have no doubt that there are a plethora of ways to do it 😉
@myriamtillson6 жыл бұрын
Yes,Clear resin would indeed be cool! Unfortunately it would require a more complex moulding and casting process, as it would need the part to be cast in resin to be moulded separately from the rest of the piece. I was thinking more of using silicone, as it would also have a cloudier finish, and a more organic look, especially if I used some pigment in there. Resin can be beautifully clear, and that could be super cool also though. :)
@myriamtillson6 жыл бұрын
That requires a fast setting resin, which is rare with clear resins unfortunately. And unless you have a rotocaster, doing it by hand can lead to uneven thicknesses. It is a good method for fast resins though, especially when you only need a thin layer of material instead of a block (which I would need as I'd want to encase the skull in there). :)

Very cute, I like this book. I rarely see sketchbooks holding unity, for example in color scheme or field in which the concepts flow. The unity of the red and blue combination, with most of the pieces composed in those two colors dominantly, and even the concepts being around a small handful of concepts, namely surrealism and unsettling (kinda horror-ish, warped productions) type work gives a sketchbook that's unlike most, with most sketchbooks being wildly variable from page to page. It's nice to see an example of a sketchbook with an internal set of themes - I really would like to see more examples of this. I look forward to seeing your future works, as you grow into a more and more realized artist!

I also find the sketch of the three headed creature holding the child really comforting. The first thought I had was "oh, how sweet" because the creature seems really attentive and is holding them close and carefully. Made me feel a bit warm actually haha. Anyway, I love all your work! You and I work sooo differently. I always just start with no concept except an idea in my mind and sketch it out on paper, then go in with any other medium. I never have any plans for a drawing, I just go in with any colors I think work for the piece. I also never use reference except when I draw portraits of people that need to be recognizable as a certain person. Other than that I just drae straight from my head. Sometimes I'll use a mirror for extremely difficult poses but I mostly can't stand using picture reference lol

That isn't really the type of thing I do on my channel, sorry, but as far as advice goes, I basically just tried out all their templates and looked at other artists' websites and took note of the elements I liked and why and tried to make my own along those vibes. I love the theme I have, and actually didn't need to modify it almost at all. I'd say just look at all their free themes, or find a theme online that you like and just install it and play with it!
