Nice work, Mickey! Knew about the Park, but never knew about all that fascinating history. And cool vintage pic with you the family and the towers!

Thanks again Mickey. The last time I was there the orange construction nets were still all around the remaining buildings around the twin towers (sometime in early 2002). I took my youngest kids to see the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island all from the Jersey side Circle Line.

Wow, that brings back a lot of memories. That was quite a time to go. Thanks for watching!

Well done, Mick! The view of Manhattan, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty are beautiful from the park. The bonus for me is the railroad history since I spent 40 years railroading for a living. The river, the view and the history make it SO worth the trip! The Black Tom Explosion piece was a nice bonus. You always do your homework! Thanks.

I really appreciate the feedback! It means a lot to me. This place is so beautiful but I hate going up north (prefer the country) so I always avoided it. Glad I could add the RR history for you! What company did you do the RR for?

I agree that it is an awesome park. Sorry you had to pay the 7 bucks before finding out you could have parked for free! There are also nice kayak tours from the park during warmer weather.

I'm loving your vlogs...Just wondering why you did not show the ruined train tracks and the building, as well as the ruined ferry boat docks, all which were victims of Super Storm Sandy...Those images made such an impact on me...Keep up the good work!

Hi April, thanks for watching! I don't think I realized that the docks were like that from Sandy. I did see some pictures that I could have included. Sorry I missed that! Glad you enjoyed!
