Being a former pilot Comm Inst SEL/MEL and a Helicopter Add on IS A KICK IN THE PANTS. I Loved soaring, trips, expensive hamburgers or CFS and Fries. Renting plane, Fly somewhere for lunch, plane and the meal Deal. My wife loved flying at night. We went Christmas light looking and fireworks shows from the air. Going to dinner rather than an hour drive, a 30 min flight or so.

I got my VFR Lic in a 172, my IFR in a 182 & my TurboProp in a 210. I think you know what I mean when I say it often, when traveling on a long trip becomes a bit of trouble. When we go to Vegas from SoCal it takes 3.5+ hrs to drive & renting a 210 costs $260 of air time. So I drive & half way there then curse myself for not flying. It comes down to which one I value more.. $$ or time. Have fun, stay safe
