Such a great adventure, thanks for taking us with you! I had an idea that i once used as a quicker way of destilling water. You fill the finished hole with a few hot coals and then quickly extinguish them with water. Just not too much, otherwise the plastic melts... The sauna effect will give you a lot of water!

I love Back 2 Basics, you two are so beautiful together. Wishing you many years together. I think you missed out on some more food though. Early in the day you found a line with a hook but you tried to use the lure to catch fish. I think you would have had better luck using the J hook with bait such as oysters of the rock

I was just thinking about this episode yesterday, and whether you guys were familiar with the bamboo saw method of firestarting. It seems like there is often dry bamboo on the beach, and if you split it open and rub the outside of one piece back and forth on the exposed edges of the other one, as it saws through the shell, it will be glowing hot, and light the tinder resting inside.

Hi folks Whats going on, love watching your vids on sunday at breakfast time, now its wednesday at 4 am i was itching to watch it then but my other half would have killed me, well what a change of menus, a little octopus and a couple of crustaceans not what your use to ye. Fran is a one off you dont find many like her about, no make up no designer clothes just Fran being her self, a home maker cook and forager, hope the salty dog is coming along for more deep water episodes. The crab at 16:04 is a crenate swimming crab, they are prolific and I’m fairly sure you are allowed to keep them. They look a lot like a mud crab but they’re eyes are much further apart. Great content mate🤙
