As a dayz player that has played for over 3 years, The game is hard at start and you are mad you cant trust anybody, but if you play it with a friend, you start to master it and it becomes one of the best multiplayer expierence, and when in the start everybody kills you, after some time of the game you become the bandit, no player can escape the thought of betraying people

Stranded deep is almost impossible, you spawn on an island with a small amount of resources that don't respawn, it's permadeath and it's so easy to die as food and hunger go down fast, it's easy to get poisoned in the early game (poison is incurable without an antidote which is very hard to craft and poison will last forever without treatment. Swimming to other islands is impossible but the life dingy thing is extremely slow and can be destroyed by sharks. You are forced to build a raft, but they are super expensive and your island barely has enough resources for it, let alone anything else.

​@@Shoco21Well its actually a different experience for everyone, as I played stranded deep permadeath and NEARLY beat the game but unfortunately died. The start is actually very reliant on rng. As on some runs my raft was completely fine, but others I got brutally killed by a shark or wildlife.

Once you find out how to survive its not that hard, same as dayz. After getting few suplies and water Catchers, my only deaths were because of bosses wich are spreaded across the map and i was looking for them and trying to kill them. I do recommand the game, but some things i had to Google. The game isnt leading you through enough.

If you modded it to like use the Master mode difficulty from vanilla. You could take something like calamity mod and use it to maximize the difficulty even further to Master + Death mode. And trust me, its a challenge. BUT THEN, instead of Master + Death mode, you could use Fargo's Souls Mod to get Eternity mode. When in Master mode, instead of it being just Master + Eternity, it would become Masochist mode. And it makes even the weakest of enemies like a slime into a far more challenging enemy. But if you dont want mods, you could use the special seeds like For the Worthy aka Legendary mode, OR the getfixedboi seed which is beyond painful. If you included those Terraria would definitely be on Impossible. If you wanted to you could try these, at the risk of your sanity.

Previous versions of subnautica was a little bit harder, creatures was more aggressive and smarter, in addition that player was getting more damage. However, after a few updates, devs decided to make the game more noob friendly and gave more protection to the players

Stranded Deep seems impossible at first but once you get the hang of it, it’s pretty easy. And if you start modding islands, it’s a “walk on the beach”. As for Green Hell, it’s definitely one of the most difficult survival games out there. However I wouldn’t put it in impossible. My reason for that is because I’ve mastered the game and have unlocked every achievement for it on both XB1 and Series X.

DayZ is hard to get into, but easy to master (survival wise) after you find out about how to make a fire without matches or a lighter, using bones for knives or hooks, and most importantly patience the game isn’t too hard. But learning combat is something very hard to master because you need a lot of experience but it could take hours to have enough ammo and a good enough gun for actual PVP but could very quickly be ended and you have to retry again. DayZ is hard to learn, kinda hard to master in SOME aspects. but with enough time you can. You just have to get into a cycle, i play with 2 friends, when we spawn we want 3 things, a blade of any kind, a chicken or human guts, and then bones. After that we leave and go inland right away, we navigate using Izurvive until we reach tier 2 before we actually loot. The guts is good for making a fishing rod so we can get food, chicken has bones and food. Just in case we get hungry. But if we spawn and find each other in the morning we search the shoreline since you can find food, hooks, and maybe even a fishing line. There’s also a decent chance people have loot stashes hidden along the coast especially in cities.

I have 830 hours on DayZ and I still lose the majority of the gunfights I end up in. Diseases, zombies and survival in general I can deal with but not with other players. It's the sort of game you log out of when going to refill your drinking glass. Going AFK means death. You just can't let your guard down for even a second because at any moment there could be someone stalking you.

There's zero challenge to DayZ's survival after the first 15 or so hours of gameplay; basically once you figure out how to craft a fishing or find out you can hunt. The only persistently difficult thing about DayZ is the PvP - PvE becomes non-existent in vanilla to an even barely experienced player, sadly.

Yeah. Green Hell really threw me for a loop. It was one of those games that actually pissed me off how difficult it was at the start, but I realized that it simply had a learning curve and once you got it, you could thrive even. Another game that surprised me was Grounded. You're a kid that has shrunk down to the size of an ant and you have to survive in your backyard. It wasn't hard, but it wasn't easy either. I had loads of fun with it because it was such a unique premise. Another thing I liked was that you can build a single structure across the entire map. Very cool. I mean, many games allow that, but living in your backyard was pretty cool. And of course Soulmask is also a lot of fun and they have a great interaction with the players, but it did remind me of the pitfalls of joining a game in early access and that is that I will get bored with it before it fully releases. The only exception to this was Baldur's Gate 3. I will have to check back later.

I read some comments about DayZ. I agree with most of them, but having no map ingame means alt tab (being exposed) and figure out where you are. Having guns and ammo feels very good. Having a base feels amazing. Having cars cant even express it. Losing all these to a raid is something else. Going for loot and all the sudden black screen is s very strange feeling which i absolute love. Yes most of the times you just walk and do stuff but for some reason me and my friends at least dont get mad when we lose everything. This game can only be described with one sentence: " its all about the journey, not the destination ".❤

Stranded deep player here,i mean i only have like 11 hours of total playtime but i think i died about 5 times,2 from poisoning,2 from getting killed by a giant boar,and 1 from a shark.Now,it itsnt exactly too hard but it can get quite diffucult,also kind of depends on what diffulcuty youre playing,i know that you can like make all wildlife passive and turn on easy mode or creative mode,but ive only played on normal with not so passive wildlife.Also snakes and crown of thorns starfish are the 2 animals that i hate and despise more than sharks.Also forgot to say this,underrated channel.

I have just under 10k hours into DayZ, between console and PC. This game is amazing and has a very steep learning curve. Once you play it enough it doesn't become as hard. On pc we have to worry about hackers on official so i only play community. Best fucking game ever

Nice video! With the ones you have ranked thus far I'd definitely agree. But I think you should rank another game that fits into the surival category. It's called 'this war of mine' it's a game taking place during a war in the perspective of what it's like being a civilian during it. In my opinion the difficulty of it is harder than dayz if you're playing it for the first time. It gets easier once you learn the game but its still hard. One tiny mistake and one of your characters can die permanently.

As someone who played and beat Subnautica a lot, including Hardcores a few time, I'd will rank it the same tier as Minecraft, or lower even. Food, Water are abundant and drain very slowly, infinite food/water sources are also easy to do. The game is also forgiving too and can be beaten while encounter almost no danger at all.

once you figure out DayZ's crafting mechanics and have basic navigation skills (running in the opposite direction of the ocean and knowing how to make a sharp stick) then you know how to play. it will always be hard however because whatever you do, however hard you try, and the amount of loot you get will never matter. there will always be some dude with 9 billion hours that just spawned in and found a double barrel to one shot you. also the people, really fun, really dangerous, and extremely random. you could be beat to death by some dude in full body armor with a rotten tomato in his hand. or you could find a random guy named max outside a czech city and have a 3 hour long pilgrimage across the map just to be blown up in a military base. you could be starving to death with your buddy in the middle of nowhere and he just decides to blow you up and eat your corpse before also being eaten by 6 zombies when his gun jams or runs out of ammo. thats the fun part about DayZ, the random interactions with strangers and being either powerful or powerless in a situation you found yourself in while just trying to peacefully loot.

Listen, Subnautica is a fantastic game, and I love it, but it's by far the easiest game here. The main way I die on Subnautica is over-confidence with my air, running out of O2, and suffocating. It should be in the "can't even die" tier. Minecraft should be "average difficulty" tier as there are quite a few difficult stages as you progress through the game. Also, why even include Stranded Deep if you've never played it? Not hating, but just don't rate it, lol. Terraria should be "very hard" because many of its boss battles are pretty intense and require you to really focus.

Non modded ARK can be very hard if you don't know the game (and I'm talking about PVE only). I remember when I was playing ARK first time and I was dying a lot. Every ARK gameplay from people playing ARK first time (no matter if from 2015 or 2024) with no help from experienced players always look the same - a lot of dying, fails and frustration. However if you're experienced player vanilla ARK is very easy because you know how to play and all game mechanics. You need mods for game to be hard but there is a lot of mods making your ARK experience way harder. Also we got more difficult DLC maps like Scorched Earth or Aberration.
