I had to faff about with my gold amalgam thermal aqua-tuner for about 25 cycles :\ I always have an easy time using fried mushrooms as main food type. Usually set it up under a coal generator inside a greenhouse and that pans out really well. Dupes always seem to love running on wheels in their free-time no matter what the settings are apart from 'disabled'! I laughed so hard at that Pokeshell in your steam-room.. mmmn cooked lobster... Just block off that open water vent? And add a liquid reservoir to petroleum? "We're going to space!" love it.. Space, the final frontier... Also.. don't be too proud to use Alt-Q ;) Still not been to space... up to 513 hours play-time... Loved this! Get a Patreon! Say goodbye at the end! Oh, and yey for no video choppiness! x :D

Thanks! That's all good advice. Hmm... a Patreon... maybe. I think it has features that let people vote for what content they want to see, I like that.

Yes. Especially later when I learned you can just click "empty" to get it to drop all of the liquid out.

Nice video like always, on a side note, I’ve tried my hand to tame the steam vent and it’s quite the challenge! I’ve tried to make it compact but the overall design still seems to leave a big impact on the overall space it takes. Steel is definitely the best way to go and I did try the door compressor method which seemed to choke the steam vent a lot. The overall power generated by the steam generators was staggering and I really don’t know why I’d need that much power :p A good tip would be to make it bigger than you want to and then start to make it smaller while finding problems along the way.

In my experiments so far, I'm using three door compressors (right, left, above). It seems to be enough to handle a very productive steam vent without overpressuring, but I'm still in the experimental stage.

Hey dude! Just wanted to toss in my 2 cents. I've been loving this play through. I feel like I get dabs of info to improve my base on top of your long form videos. The beauty of this play through is that we get a more distilled sense of your humor in this format. I like the rapid fire editing of highlights, shooting between the drama moments and getting your little sardonic reactions to dupe behavior. It is a different feel entirely from your long form videos that has a lighter touch. Lean in to the fast edit humor/reaction style of this 20-30min format. Think you've got a winner here. I've subbed! This style particularly benefits from the new editing software; it needs the smoother frame rate so we get the reaction context.

Thanks! This is very valuable feedback. I didn't realize it was a thing, but now that you said so I will make an attempt to emphasize that style. I haven't done any new episode in a while but I will when my latest project is done and posted.

I love your videos ! You bring such a cool new perspective to the game. I've been playing since the agricultural update and have just logged 2020 hours on this game. I'm a bit of a slow learner but your steam powered videos are just what I need to help perfect my play! Watching brothgar helped alot as well but having just discovered your videos I'm excited to see what other cool experiments you will come up with! I would love to see a video on how to maximize refined metal volcano's! I have 2 copper ones in my current build and I feel like I'm not getting my money's worth ! Also doing a video on the most efficient way to pull solar power into your existing base powe grid !! Cant wait for the next video

The whole series was funny and interesting. I'm not an ONI player, so I'm more interested in playthroughs instead of tutorials. You've been away for KZbin for years. I hope everything is OK. Cheers!
