Everyone feeling sorry for the baby crying, needs to remember that a crying baby is a breathing baby.
@estherkux6559
@estherkux6559 Жыл бұрын
Thats rubbish from 50 years ago. Nowadays one knows: a normal, healthy baby does not need to cry after birth. And its unneccessairy cruelty to deliberately make them cry by hanging them up in the air or other stuff. I gave birth to 3 kids- they put them straight on my naked body, covered with a warm towel. If a baby feels fine, it doesn’t cry. It only cries from shock, cold air, rough handling, fear. Beeing warm and straight with mommy does not make a newborn cry at all, so none of my healthy 3 kids cried. My middle son cried the first time in his life, when he was 10 days old. I remember running to my husband telling him to come over because we heard our babys voice for the very first time.

@Esther Kux I don't think that comment was about a baby crying at birth. It was about hearing a baby cry is much better than silence because the baby drowned. She didn't even mention anything about a baby crying at birth

@@joymorrison6614 Thank you. That is exactly what I meant. If babies fall into the water, they should be taught to roll on their backs and cry to alarm others.

@@estherkux6559I'm pretty sure the Dr doesn't just automatically hang the baby upside down when it's born anymore. That's way old school and they have to make sure the baby is breathing before handing it over to the mom. Do people not think before they just jump to their own conclusions without stopping and trying to understand what the person really meant. Babies cry for numerous reasons not just the ones you said so chill out or go take care of your babies that way they don't cry.

I do not, children are strong in certain areas, very strong, but their emotions and feelings fears, don’t even wake up, that’s why growing up on their teen years and younger develop so many fears, they are extremely sensitive, strong body, and the age of adolescent is the most traumatic part of their life, they need much love and atención, the same word tells you adolescent, look for the meaning, you will think different. There’s an age for everything, do not run!!!

This toddler is not just getting survival swimming lessons, but also being taught other beneficial things like listening skills, following instructions, he is learning to be brave, have patience, so many things at such a young age and it is going to help this child significantly later in life. And if you notice, the dad (I assume) has the childs toys set up for once his lessons are done, that way he gets to play with his toys afterwards, which is positive reinforcement. Good job to both of them! 👏

@@christeljonsson4845 Don’t be so ridiculous. Do you know what WOULD be traumatic for this little dude? When he DOESN’T know how to safely roll over & float, drowning - which is not only a traumatic way for him to go, but incredibly traumatic for his entire family! He won’t ever, ever recall any of the tears or frustration he just felt - he’ll not only remember how to save himself, he’ll also have learnt how to swim, & that creates many, many years of happy & SAFE memories for kids.

I’m looking at these comments and I’m actually shocked and disappointed at how many people think that this is traumatizing for the child. Y’all don’t understand how important it is for young children like this to do swim lessons. Yes it is uncomfortable and the water is obviously really cold but say this kid later falls in super cold water in his future now he will know what to do and to stay calm. And don’t you dare say it’s traumatizing because I bet it’s been way more traumatizing for the parents that have had children that have drowned and died. This is so important and I’m not over exaggerating when I say this can and probably will save this child’s life someday. Almost all kids have had or will have close calls with drowning but if they have been properly trained how to swim and stay afloat then they will be fine although it might be a little scary for them

That little boy is amazing! He was cold, a little sad, probably scared and definitely not wanting to go back in that fricking water but when it came time he did not hesitate. When he went face down he didnt panic. It took him a moment to get his bearings. Then face to the sky. No throwing a tantrum. No screaming. Maybe feeling a little sorry for himself, but not enough to quit. He will do well in life. Hopefully life will do well by him. He for one has earned it and will keep earning it if he keeps this attitude.

This kid is gonna be a warrior. Everyone here saying how bad they feel for this kid… it’s sad. You need to teach children stress and frustration management early otherwise when they grow older, they won’t have the tools to solve problems. Not pushing him to his breaking point, but just far enough. If more parents did things like this with their children maybe people wouldn’t be so soft when they reach adulthood. This is more than just a swimming lesson. Great job.

Crying is normal reaction to confusing or scary situations for babies. The main thing is to teach them how to handle their emotions. Things may seem scary or confusing at first, but only thing that helps them is to speak and act calmly. They observe people all the time and learn from them how to act in different situations :)

Had I not. He would have died almost a year later falling into a covered pool with a sitter who went to the bathroom for less than 2 minutes! She saw him floating in the pool……… face UP!! I’m grateful for these lessons. I wasn’t this calm and nice. I tried but I got frustrated that he wouldn’t catch on. @@Logan-jp1wz I love how the go to response for people who voice disagreeance with forcing crying toddlers to swim is "you'd rather them drown, huh?". No, of course not, you already know that. I simply believe there are more controlled, comfortable ways to teach your kid how to swim, and if they're so young that they enter primal distress, you don't need to teach them yet, and instead, be a good enough parent to keep them from open bodies of water in the same manner you'd keep them away from traffic. Toddler drowning deaths happen because a parent is not paying attention, before it happens because the baby isn't a swimmer. Jesus.

For everyone that saying this child is crying, they aren't. That's just fussing! He's not pushing away either. This is survival training, not meant to be fun but they do it in a very supportive manner. Look at his toys waiting for him! It's a huge gift to have someone love you enough to prepare you for such unseen events. Taught early and in this way can teach confidence and calmness in an emergency that serves you your whole life. A calm adult acknowledging the childs discomfort and mistakes yet gently encouraging them takes the panic away. I'm just curious what happened to the parent that they thought to do it. They're thinking very proactively.
