I Did My Biggest Base Expansion Yet to prep for The Contact Update and Factorum Space Engineers ep 8

I build absolutely massive ships, typically based on the Stargate shows. They're hybrids of Tau'ri, Asgard, and Lantean designs. I always make them interplanetary, even though there's never really been a reason to visit planets. I typically only visit planets to more easily collect resources and to test various small grid vehicles parked on the big ships. I can't wait until the emphasis on exploration update drops. Hopefully, it'll finally be worth visiting planets.

Thanks! It's crazy that as soon as you get something built you're ready for the next thing. I gotta slow this down somehow. Hopefully the new content will help in that regard with the encounters and such.

@@SurvivalBobGaming Well, you are also kind of rushing to try and get ready for the Contact Update. Once you have the jumpdrive prepared... got your ass beaten by the Factorum (😂) , you can then focus on building your ship/bases out more. Get some hull work done, improve the greebling, boost effectiveness of your resource collection/refinery... and so on.

Also wanted to suggest maybe some sky lights in your buildings to help with lighting. GREAT vids as always, can't wait for update either sounds like some real fun for us console players too, we won't have to worry about mods to get POI's .

I know it doesn't need it but consider some external slanted pieces to throw solar on... why? Because it looks fancy lol oh and don't forget to abuse walkways, no good industrial courtyard is complete without lots of walkways running up and over pipes that could be buried but aren't.

You should build a welding ship next, it saves a lot of running back and forth. Also, planetary outposts dont have escort or repair jobs because the game doesn't spawn npc ships in gravity.

Love the video and someone else playing space game, been streaming welding my big base together. Keep Making Cool Stuff. Don't Fret about Grabing a Blueprint from the workshop and Adjusting it, Bp n create in creative n print it out in Survival Bob Edit: 15kL Player Inv is My Fav mod, other than Rotary Airlock, other than Stackable Turbines, other than Sleep Mod in Cryotubes, Compass Is Helpful. Dont Forget You can Just Make A Welder Attached to your base and weld sections and demo the tubes.

looking awesome base now i also use inset blocks for greebling they usually have pipes vents etc on the back of them and i make my pipes chrome

Nah, I don’t think so. They would have mentioned it. They did reset official servers but I don’t think that will affect single player games.

Can you label these better in your playlist for episodes? Like Ep: 1 closer to the beginning of the title? On TVs it cuts off the titles and you can't see what episode is which. Also, in the playlist they are out of order, and if they are out of order and you can't see the episode number on tv it's just not possible to watch. Thank you!
