Hi Bob I'm going through your videos right now and I found a really nice and easy way of getting through Abominations stuff. Make sure your jetpack is good enough to get to the top. These eggs are found in a circle around the building. Go to one side, knock down 1 egg, grab it, then immediately go up onto the building. Make the creatures follow you. Then turn to the opposite side of the building, jump down, and grab all the eggs except 1. The creatures will be stuck on the other side of the building. They will not go around to get you. After you grab all the eggs on that side wait until the spawn stops. When it stops, grab the egg, and then repeat the process on the other side but grab all the eggs. Easy peasy.

For me there are two methods that I use the most. 1. Requires the Personal Refiner to be less annoying but is useful for early game. Get personal Refiner from Selene on the Anomaly. Now you can refine basic things on the go. I'm always refining goop and I never have to wait at a Refiner for anything basic like ionized cobalt or sodium Nitrate or whichever variety of Ferrite I require. 2. More of a mid game option but with care could be used earlier. Run Derilict Freighters. You can refine Tainted Metal (2:1) into nanites. Then refine all larval cores and hadal cores (both 1:50) into nanites. Then process all abyssal eyes in nutrient Processor to Horrifying Mush (single step top tier food) and give to Cronus. You could also possible end up with a butt ton of living slime to refine. As a bonus, Derilicts are the most efficient way to obtain Salvaged Frigate Modules for upgrading Freighters. Most of this information for Derilicts I credit Xaine for as it was his stream that I learned this from. I did not know that you could refine Salvaged Data for nanites though. I always just used them for gaining quick units in the early game until I was ready to unlock base parts.

re: cooking, you can also make fibrous stew from crops (fungal mold, solanium, gamma root), process them into 'better' veggies (non-poisonous mushrooms, solartillo, sievert beans)... process half of that yield again to get steamed vegetables, then combine it with the first-round processed veggies to get fibrous stew... if you combine steamed vegetables with itself, you get flavoursome sauce, which you combine with fibrous stew or mystery meat stew to get delicious vegetable stew or herb-encrusted flesh... these offer the highest yield in nanites when fed to cronus

You can craft ininite Nanites with the cooking method. You can multiply Faecium with itself with oxygen, out of that you can make Mordite, Marrow Bulbs, Meat Flakes etc up to Herb Encrusted Flesh, completely made out of Faecium. So absolutely no need to hunt animals for meat, just need the Oxygen Collector to make you get Oxygen for free and Combine it with Faecium (you'll need to add some sodium, but that can also be multiplied with itself by adding oxygen)

Any ship farming is the best way. As long as they are B or better. Best if the price is less than 2.5m. Don't forget you can scrap parts in the ship for free wire looms and cobalt mirrors. Plus you frequently get Activated copper/iridum etc which you can turn into chromatic metal so no more trying to find copper. Works great even in the early game since you only loose 25% of the cost, which can be offset by selling the mats. Get that free ship in the story mission. Scrap it. Get the medium refiner and make chlorine or upgrade the scanner to make more money

I have a suggestion for earning everything, I haven't done any testing so not sure it's the absolute best for much, but you said share if you got one so here goes: Found while making my way to the centre using 50/50 black holes and jumps. 1) arrive in system and dock (probably don't engage in any fights as black holes are breaking weapons) 2) pick up all missions that and NOT tied to a system: kill sentinel/cull creature/scan minerals+plants+animals and optionally photo missions and depot raids (I don't like photos because they auto clog Xbox uploads) 3) jump and repeat 4) once you have multiple pages of missions land on a planet and you can complete multiple missions concurrently. A depot raid can be used to virtually garuntee sentinel engagement. If you're not comfortable with walker's then keep ship nearby for an easy getaway. If you're losing money buying jump resources then complete a few missions. Hope you like it, I appreciate that it's useless if you don't want to cross multiple systems 😎

Another way I found with Expeditions update that requires you to do missions from regular stations(earning Explorers faction is one of the goals)....Stack the missions. If you're station hopping(looking for tools, ships, modules, storage expansions, all the typical things), it only takes seconds to check for the easy stackable ones, like kill or feed creatures which can be done on any planet with fauna as far as I've seen. The missions sometimes don't give nanites, but eh, units are good too. This works excellently because you can literally turn them all in at one station regardless of where you picked them up, so say you stack up 5 "Kill ____ creatures" (usually 10-15 which is a cakewalk) you get 5 times the rewards (if they all gave nanites). Great synergy with getting the meat to feed Watermelon head(which I didn't know about)

I like the point about not refining platinum because it's worth so much, because it's so true. I've bought b class junk fighters for 750k and got 3 b class augs (worth around 200 nanites all told) and a storage aug along with 2/3 that money back so in terms of units per nanites even junk ships are 10x more efficient than plat.

Yeah, totally agree. I had a spreadsheet and was gonna do a unit cost per nanite comparison as well, but not everything had a unit cost associated with it. I just decided to leave that part out.

The cost vs return isn't very good for platinum. The thing is I have a silver and gold mine that produce around 90,000u/12 hours each. Since I don't need the units and can use the nanites I can refine nanites while I craft Stasis devices and Fusion Ignitors. I've only got 5 refiners in the freighter and 6 at the base now instead of the 20 I had before. I've got around 20 scattered at different bases but, it's such a pain to make the rounds since the mine's are disconnected.

I have already beaten the game, and I had no idea until this vid that you could refine slime, or data plates, or the eggs, into nanites. Lore wise it makes sense given the truth of the universe, and that makes more interesting to me.

SurvivalBob well, here’s something that’ll blow your mind. After watching this vid, I went and tried the method to get the larval legs, and I am mediately learned three things. Firstly, by taking a nexus mission (I took one that gave quicksilver) to kill monstrosities, you will automatically be given coordinates for a infested location, if not several. Second, if you dig under the eggs, all in advanced, you can get them all quickly, which you probably already knew. The third thing however, which I learned by COMPLETE ACCIDENT, is if you reload a save during the mission, it will restart you at the nexus, but you will still have all the eggs you harvested, and all the holes you dig ares still there despite the mission not acknowledging you having been there. I used this exploit and got around five dozen eggs before I finished the mission to get to the rest of my day. I don’t know if this is a nexus thing, or something that can be done outside of it, but I got 3000 Nani tea in about...Fifteenish minutes. Should have tracked the time. Try it yourself if you got the time/chance.

That’s great Chief! I didn’t think about using the nexus missions and never even tried reloading a save during one. I’ll have to play with that for sure! Great tip!

I spent days going around to 25 refiners refining viscous fluids while I was checking my mines. I had a refiner glitch that when I emptied the refiner it automatically refilled the output. I filled every open slot I had available. I could have kept it going but, I got even more burned out on it than I did scrapping ships. I finally said enough is enough and stopped.

I started a silver mine to go along with my gold mine for nanites. I stay maxed out on units so cost isn't an issue. I usually take all the salvage data I get to the Anomaly. I've got everything in the entire area unlocked so I don't need it. I scrapped 2 exotics for hours one night. I got so burned out I didn't want to scrap a ship for a while. You're definitely correct about the ships. I upgraded a couple of ships with all the nanites I got and still ended up with a storage container full of S class upgrades. I've got six ships now and have a hard time sacrificing one for the cause. I'm down to around 55,000 nanites and if I do end up trading my shuttle for a slightly different shuttle I may need 90,000 to get it to the S class I've upgraded this shuttle to. It looks like I'll reconnect my gold and silver mines and get to refining.

I dropped base computers and put walls around a couple "curious deposits." Between the two of them, I can harvest about 1.4 stacks of runaway mold. With teleport terminals, I can bounce back and forth between the two, and by the time I finish a round trip, the mold at the first base has already spawned again. I do the slime thing too, but I use the personal refiner to do it passively while I'm running around doing stuff.

I started the game 1 week ago and I'm "nanite capped" atm. I got few by just randomly playing the game and after advancing through the story I made money by setting up a mining farm wich was a fun project(like 20M a day or something like that). I used the money to buy ships to dismantle them to upgrade my ship and the mods I had from that put me at something like 20K nanite. Now since I did lots of station missions when learning words(some are stackable and complete at once), I get semi passively lots of nanites when entering new systems and speaking to the representative npc and picking stackable missions. Basically anything gives plenty of nanites at a point in the game. I'm full S rank and buy S mods for my friends when they miss some, I really think it is more time consuming finding the ones you want at S rank than getting the nanite :D.

I set up a base next to a bumper crop of Curious deposits. I get 1 whole stack of Runaway Mould with each lot I mine and there's another bumper crop just over 600u away marked with a save point. But the easy part about this is if you travel to just over 650u away from either crop of Curious deposits, they respawn. You don't even need to warp or leave the area to mine more. Curious Deposit base: Bird, Sunset, Dragonfly, Galaxy, Sunset, Bird, Moon, Hexagon, Diplo, Balloon/Waypoint, Bird, Moon

Tainted metal is the best way for nanites. Find a freight that had no enemy's. Put the broadcast in your personal refiner. Collect the manifests and tracked metal and nanites from opening containers. Go out, use the broadcast again. Rinse and repeat, Go and sell manifests in the station. You get more tainted metal. Them refine it 2 nanites per 1 tainted metal. I get around 700 800 tainted metal. In 10 minutes that's 1600 nanites when converted. The refining takes 12 minutes for 4000 nanites

One thing I do to protect myself with terrain manipulator digging holes on this is to try to shape it into a funnel under the eggs and have the funnel pour down into a hole that I stand in and can shoot the eggs from. They’ll roll down to me and I’m far enough down that they don’t really cause me issues. Another thing to make sure you’re doing is using the smallest sphere for terrain mining size - if you’re using a bigger sized sphere then you’re leaving them room to path find and manuever without glitching into the ground and teleporting to the surface, so that may be what happens when you’re getting attacked by them underground. It needs to be an adequately narrow hole that you’re standing in.

I suppose it depends on luck but my favorite method of getting nanites is basically farming sentinels between my bases I've built on worlds where they are aggressive. It can be hit or miss but the amount of mods I get from basically wiping all waves of sentinels on each planet and resetting them can be somewhat hit or miss but ive had anywhere from a few hundred nanites for my sell off to close to 10k (though i will admit it had been at least a wave or two before I went in to sell them).
@basketcase1235 Жыл бұрын
i do the same too, but instead of wiping them out, i just keep the dorito sentinel alive when my "wanted" level reaches 3 stars. said sentinel will then spawn the repair and meatball sentinels (the ones that drop glass) indefinitely, which i then proceed to destroy (again keeping the dorito one alive). that way i can fill my inventory up with glass and pugneum, while still keeping the wanted level down. when I'm done i just run away.

Great video! I'd only add that you don't need to scrap Exotic ships, though it is more efficient. You can scrap Class A ships of any kind and you still get nanites, just not as many but you're not waiting around as much.

Best Nanite method is a Curious Deposit/Runaway Mould farm. Runaway Mould refines 5:1 into Nanites. A full 9999 stack (+1 to even it out) takes 20 minutes to refine into 2000 Nanites per refiner. My CuriDepo base has 10 refiners. Once they're up and running you can keep harvesting and feeding the refiners. Ignoring the initial harvest time, my refiners can make me 60,000K nanites per hour. Funnest Nanite method is robbing freighters. When you look at the cargo pods on a freighter it will tell you what's in them "Gold" "Platinum" "Chromatic Metal" etc. Sometimes the pods don't say anything. Those have Nanites. Not a big nanite maker, but once you complete your base expansion missions, the science terminal korvax guy starts asking for data (flora, fauna, etc) and gives you nanites for it. Behaves similar to treeface and brainhead guys on the anomaly.

Dunno if its been said (426 messages is too much to search) but I found another method which I found to be better and I didnt saw it in the refiner section. Nice video! Thank you for that! I'd like to add a few tips: 1- If you wanna go for cooking and are vegan (hehehe) you can process gamma root or fungal mould instead. With 200 of gamma/mould and 4 food processors, you can make 50 delicious vegetable stew and get 5000+ nanites for them. Besides, it's more sustainable coz you can set up a farm, you won't need to hunt. 2- For those who like collecting larval cores, you'd better do it in abandoned systems (abandoned, not uncharted) coz almost every building you'll find in a non-exotic planet will be an abandoned one, surrounded by whispering eggs. Just pack your inventory with sorted maps in the space station of an inhabited system (all maps but alien buildings are useful), then warp and have fun.

The best way for me is to find all the fauna on a planet and then go into the discovery menu and get the nanite bonus from discovering all fauna. If you didn't know you can do this, go through your discovery menu and see if you've completed any unawares. You can get a lot doing this, and whereas for anomaly planets where there's only 1 fauna to discover you might only get 250 nanites, on larger planets with more fauna the bonus can be very lucrative!
