Thank you for the detailed review of this water filter. I've spent a couple weeks looking at every conceivable countertop RO water filter that would be suitable for use with a well. I just wanted it for my daily series of coffee infusions and cooking. I'm a retired widower so I don't need a 500 gallon tank of purified water on hand at any given time for entertaining. I live in the mountains of central Idaho and after initially looking at the passive filters like Berky, Epic, etc. I decided on this Simpure because it also has the UV sterilization feature which should augment the RO's already pretty effective ability to stop larger microbes making it through alive. You were the first and only reviewer of an RO system who dealt with using an RO filter with well water so again thanks for your time and effort as it helped me drop the hammer on the purchase.

Thanks. I've been using this daily since I did the review and I love it. The fridge filtered water has a weird taste now haha. Maybe that's because the RO water has no taste.

@@eclecticbasil Yes I purchased the Simpure Y7P water filter and although I've only had it for better than a week I've so far have been very pleased with it. Along with the obvious filtering benefit I wanted to have room temperature water as opposed to the too cold water from my refrigerator filter. The taste is basically no taste. Essentially identical to distilled water which suits me fine. Overall I am completely satisfied with the purchase and recommend it given you don't have counter space restrictions as it is about the size of 3 small Keurig coffee makers (17"Hx17"Dx7"W).

Love this machine, water tastes great...wish it were more alkaline but it produces fine water and filters are dirt cheap and last a long time...cannot go wrong.

Love what you have done with this video; especially with your twin and your humor. May be looking into something like this even though I am a Berky fan. Question: does this system take out fluoride? Looking forward to to seeing more videos like this. Glad you are amping up “your” channel. See ya Sunday.

Great detailed video! I bought one of these about a year ago. I love it. But what do you know about changing the UV filter ? How often and how do you change it. Thanks again. I just subscribed to your channel 👍🏽

Absolutely. It's the same principal as a Steripen or putting a clear water container out in the sun.

I cannot “flush” the tank out after changing the filters. Edit: I can flush out. So we need to fill the tank and flush out and repeat same for 3-5 times?

Question 🙋🏽‍♀️ I’m so lost!! Is it supposed to bubble everytime I refill it like the first time? Or does it just filter through without bubbling?

Hello I have a windmill cistern setup for my water. The well is only 17' deep, 25' when dug so many years ago. We have always had nitrate problems so have not drank our water for 40 years. Water is pumped uphill from well to the original cistern then gravity flows to the basement. Have you tested this to see if the nitrates and bacteria are removed? I have heard the minerals are removed from RO systems. What are your thoughts on this? Also, I do have some scaling (no softener) - will I have to replace filters more often? Thanks. Nebraska USA
