Good video! About if they can make Grappling better? Yes they absolutely can and should I hate the grappling in UFC 5 because it just feel like one big Facebook mini game. I love to watch high lvl grappling matches and have trained in jujuts and no gi for a couple of years as well as some MMA. The problem with the Grappling is that it’s stagnated, it’s that easy. The striking in UFC games has good fluidity and makes you engaged and feels like every strike matters for the most part. If you have done any form of grappling in real life you know it’s always a constant flow of motion with small breaks between. Example how to make the grappling system fun. Just take the striking system ps5 buttons as an example. Square for the left hand and triangle for your right hand attacks, x for your left leg and circle for your right leg attacks. Have the same thing on the ground. And the joystick movement to control your body. Then the upper buttons for deny,sub, strike + the arm or leg you want to use. Yes it would be complicated at first but in my opinion that is the only way to capture the fluidity and remove the mini game feeling and make people enjoy the grappling.

Great idea for a video. I'm thinking the second guy may have stayed in if you didn't send the troll "thanks", I know that would have pissed me off enough to move on lol. Also, no, I don't think there's any world where a guy is holding you down for 5 rounds would be fun. Professional fighters with money on the line get incredibly pissed off when they get dominated and held down, and that's the most fun version of grappling. Wrestling has a special ability to make you feel like helpless that's unique in martial arts.

What does this say about the game if people are quitting like this??? Yeah you can learn to get good but not everyone like these content creators or MMA maniacs can be behind a screen and spend X amount of hours trying to understand the physics of the ground game. EA also does a terrible job trying to get these consumers to figure out the ground game and that’s why a HUGE MAJORITY just play stand and bang or play the mma experience and quit once they get held down on the mat over and over. Video is cool and all but the ground game has been terrible since EA took over.
