Manos is absolutely irritating but that confrontation between him and Olu was ridiculous. Manos was clearly scared and yet olu didn't care because he was too busy working himself up and acting like a total meat head and using his size as a weapon to dominate, end of the day Olu put his hands on manos by gripping his chin and manos reacted in defence by pushing his hand away but immediately put his hands in a placating gesture and yet the block head still had to be a muppet and put a man through a glass window, his parents should be ashamed of him for that. There is never any excuse to put your hands on someone, don't care how annoying someone is
@Wastok
@Wastok 3 жыл бұрын
It was incredibly stupid for Manos to try and cheat during that 'skill assessment' because it shows that he hasn't actually learned anything. He doesn't think he has to play by the same rules as the rest of them. The question is; was Olu upset for this reason or simply because he didn't want Manos to clean the fish faster than him? Neither of them held up under any pressure.

This was an AMAZING documentary. Taught me a lot too. If every single kid from the west had to spend at least one summer doing just one of these jobs, tuna, prawns, etc., it would change our world. It saddens to think that even if we were to pay more for our food to these industries, the money wouldn't go to the workers, but the greedy owners. I figured that out after the supervisor kept saying, "its enough for them."

I know when we see things for the first time on the internet it is easy to forgot that it hasn’t just happened but being from the uk I can see that the attitudes, the ‘fashion’ & the way the show has been produced indicate this was filmed over 10 yrs ago maybe more. At that point go fund me’s were not a thing, the social attitudes & opinions were completely different & the intentions of the show would not be acceptable today. Although it was the norm to have those opinions & be entitled &act selfishly doesn’t mean it’s excuseable but it does mean we need to remember that it was trendy to be a rude, spoilt brat & a lot of these people were young & trying to make themselves Look & seem ‘cool’ too. I’m glad we have moved on from that we appreciate other peoples struggles now but we also can’t compare the responses of then to now either.

I feel embarrassed for Olu, poor kid, he’s been raised in a way he think it’s ok to lay your hands on ppl in anger, I wonder who set that kind of terrible example to him, he may be a victim of child physical abuse and I hope he knows that it’s ok to ask for help, to deal with his pain and confusion, in social situations, to help to learn healthier ways to handle his emotions without feeling the need to get physical with people. Or maybe he just needs to lay off the steroids and weight lifting too much testosterone until he can ask for help to handle the self control and anger management issues.
