@@NowhereBoundAdventuresWith my F150, I nested a bunch of small cloth bags together to put over the jack so I wouldn’t ding my tailgate which I can open about 50% with this kludge. I hear ya though! I relegated my diesel heater to warming a room in the house since no snow where I go. Found my 12V blanket to be more than adequate for my location. Usually nothing lower than 35 degrees. So here is a great little tip for anyone with a Mr. Buddy heater. Go to the hardware store and buy a paint roller grill for a 5 gal bucket. It has the 2 hooks on one end. If you flip it upside down, the hooks go around the handle of Mr. Buddy. you can cover it with foil and cook hot dogs, or steaks. Take the foil off and use a small skillet and will cook eggs and bacon. Boil water, heat coffee. And it is indoor safe. You can even buy a wood stove fan, and it will distribute heat from the fan like a blower. I wish I could send pictures somehow. I'm sure I butchered the explanation. Once I make a video, I will tag you in the video if I may. Let me know .
@NowhereBoundAdventures12 күн бұрын
That is an awesome tip! I’m definitely going to try that!
@Aaronontheradio12 күн бұрын
@NowhereBoundAdventures i also found that if you get two 2" C clamps it helps hold the hooks to the handle. And also a few 2 inch bolts with nuts will act like legs on the factory heat guard and will help steady any heavy pots or pans on it.

@NowhereBoundAdventures14 күн бұрын
Gina and I have talked about that. I like that I can park the Tag in the garage, and I love how efficient and easy it is. Perfect for when it’s just me and the dog. However, Gina is starting to get the travel itch, and her biggest requirement is an indoor bathroom with a shower. So we might be seeing a bigger rig in the not-too-distant future. However, I’ll probably hang onto the tag for solo trips since I enjoy it so much. Thanks for watching!

Not sure why anyone would waste there $ buying a Teardrop camper & have to add a tent to the back of it to be able to cook outside in the snow or rain. You can buy a small self contained camper that you can stand up in, cook, dinette to sit & eat at instead of your lap in the cold, full bathroom & etc. for about $12,000. This time of year I'm betting you get one in $10,000 range ready to camp day 1, I can see no logical reason why anyone would want a Teardrop instead of a small camper for about the same price & the small camper is about the same length or a tad longer than a Teardrop camper depending on the brand & model you decide on!

Full size trailer build quality has been deteriorating through the years. Teardrops tend to be better made, especially if DIY. They're also lighter and have lower wind resistance while towing. An outside kitchen isn't a strict necessity depending on trailer size, but it does offer more space with room to move around. Cooking smells stay outside as well. In bad weather consider sandwiches until conditions improve. It isn't as simple as dollars per cubic foot.
