The Eco Flow Delta 2 is similar to this one you showed as well. This one you showed has 200 more useable watts @2000 where the Eco Flow Delta 2 has 1800 usable watts, the watt hours are the same on both though. I like the five year warranty with the Eco flow products as well. The Delta 2's were on sale during Blk Friday for $399.00 which was a great deal @ 60% savings. If money is an issue, saving up for one, and waiting on sales is a good idea. It also gives the person time to think through about their purchase, and do important research on these as in: how they work, what they can run and for how long, how to charge back up during a power outage, and have preferably more than just one way to charge it back up in an emergency situation, how to use and store them properly.

Looking for sales on quality products is absolutely the way to go. Also, realizing the capabilities and restrictions these power stations have is critical. The advertisements on TV make it sound like these little things will run a whole house for days and days. False advertising for sure. But, I think they are excellent for getting you through a small outage, or running critical medical devices, even in an extended outage. Most medical device devices like CPAP machine machines don’t use hardly any electricity. So this something like this would be ideal for someone who has those needs. Thanks for sharing.

I have the Mega 1 and it works great. The fact that it is expandable to 5,000+ watts and the low price convinced me to make the purchase. It’s very good insurance should the power go out. I definitely sleep better knowing that I have a few of the bases covered.

Certainly good to have a few hours of emergency power. Only catch is being able to recharge it when it runs low and the power is still not on. You'll have to have a gas generator and a chargeverter &/or solar panels to charge it back up.
@BIGALTXАй бұрын
Yep, that's true. You need a way to recharge it. Solar would be the best, sustainable way to do that… (And solar panels have come down in price quite a bit 👍🏻. But, nothing beats a gas generator to top it off quickly. I’m trying to build a system that has all of those components.

@@BIGALTX yes, good video. It is why I didn't lose my freezer during hurricane Helene. Keep up the great information.

I was a hobbyist. I have a Solar system. Many amp hours, only 12V system. When I built it with help of Radio shack, Menards (wires, fuses, crimp on hooks, switches, MC4 connectors etc.) I never imagined in the future, you could do everything I did, and buy it in a case! ha! My batteries are sealed lead acid. Still works! I'd say go for it! There is the Lithium battery run away issue. I haven't seen it I recharge a battery for an E-bike (long story), all the time. Chow getting wordy...

Life Po 4 batteries are supposed to be safer than the others are, but one should always thoroughly read their product manuals on safety and storage what to do, and not to do. That is a worry of mine also, researching is important as well.

That is awesome. You built your own system… Old School ! 👍🏻😊

I have Inergy flex 1500 and 2 smaller Renogy power stations that I have used plenty of times. I haven't had to use my Inergy yet.

Oh goodness Alan, how would we know if our Generator is Pure sign wave? 😮❤
@BIGALTXАй бұрын
If it is a gasoline motor driven generator, it is probably modified sine wave… Unless… It is an “inverter generator“. I think all of the inverter generators are pure sine wave. Not sure, but I think so. If it doesn’t say, pure sign wave on the manufacturers literature, it’s probably not. However, many, many, many people use these types of generators to power their house with no problems. I think the Generac whole house generator, and all of these types of stand-alone whole house generators are probably modified sine wave I wouldn’t be afraid of them. In fact, I have three of them 😊 I will probably cover these types of generators next in my series of surviving a power outage. Thanks for sharing!

would it feed a subpump 115V 12 amps ? in case of a power outage after all the pump works for about 10sec to flush to the septic tank?
@BIGALTXКүн бұрын
It should. That would only be about a 1200w load. If my math is correct.
