I never get tired of seeing the BEAUTY and the RAW WILDERNESS of Alaska. Watching you accomplish your goals, dreams, and adventures is almost like experiencing them myself. As you probably know, there are a lot of old people with health issues that will never be able to experience Alaska the way that you do, but we can watch you with a smile on our face, joy in our heart, and sometimes, edge of the seat experiences watching you as you fulfill your goals and challenges. Thank you for allowing us to experience all those with you. Thank you to your parents for raising such and amazing, talented, and caring young man that has a heart of gold.

Timmy, just wanted to say. Your videos let me explore places I dream to go. It really helps because life is stressful with Work, life struggles, loneliness, money.... all of it leaves my mind when I'm watching one of your videos, full chilled and pretending I'm in the wilderness. The thought of just selling everything, burning everything and living free sounds incredible. Thank you for all the videos and the effort you put in my friend.

I lived in Anchorage when Chris was found. There was alot of news on his passing. Me and my boys were very serious into mounteering and climbing and all around survival. We did not understand that he did. After all these years knowing alot more i respect his drive but still the wilderness is no joke and requires alot of knowledge. Going out with almost nothing and hoping to survive is not wise.

Timmy, you are not like that kid. You know the risks, you take plenty of precautions, have plan B, C, etc. This boy was an idealist-possibly someone with mental illness-we will never know. But, burning money you may need for food and supplies, not becoming more familiar with the area and conditions-that’s not you at all. That is almost a suicide mission. Those who have died trying to get to the bus had romanticized the ‘adventure’ and were so determined to get to the bus they drowned in the river. Many others have had to be rescued costing thousands. That boy was no one to idolize. He was just someone too young to realize he did not have the skills or experience to back up his wilderness dream-until it was too late.

So cool to finally see the place where Chris spent so many months, and in winter, more or less the way it was when he got there, although it was spring as I recall. Read the book, watched the movie, tried to imagine the whole thing. And I don't think he was crazy, just a beautiful dreamer who was more courageous than most of us, he lived the dream. Yes, he lost his life, but he gained so much more in experiencing the wild, something city dwellers just don't understand. Current society is so wrapped up in safety that a lot are dead inside. Remember, rather die on your own 2 feet than live on your knees.

This was one of your best. Because you enable close caption, I was able to follow very well with the special audio you played. I realized today what makes your videos so very special, it comes from the heart. The other special quality you make someone watching feel as thought they are right with you. Epically looking at this on a big screen. I felt as if I were riding in the cab of the truck next to you and we were having a conversation. You are the tour guide and I am the tourist. I was dying to see the small bike work and you may have that on another video. I would almost kill to be along on some of these trips. I’m an excellent cook, as I have cooked all my life. Tim thank you for making all this possible for thousands of people and many like me who are older and live alone. I have thought of having an RV just to travel around in at my pleasure and make it my home. There isn’t a place in the US that I wouldn’t have medical attention as I am a Vet. I have to set up a pay-pal account and I should have that complete by Monday or before. One last thought, I was stationed at Minot, ND 50 miles from the Cadian border for close to 2 years, way back when. Minot was a SAC base and I fell in love with the winter there. Snowmobiling was awesome, I now live in VA at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you know of the TV program The Walton’s, I live 30 minutes from that mountain. It was here that I learned to snowboard and did try skis but skis where not for me. At almost 75 I continue to live a full life. I haven’t tried snowboarding in a long time. Again, thank you for being so kind and loving.

I remember reading to book when it came out. I love camping and used to read a lot about camping Alaska. I am an Athabaskan from Tyonek. A few years ago I decided to quit my job. I took money out of my bank and hit the road, just driving. Back during my high school days I played basketball and we traveled all over the state. I had always dreamed of going back to places I played ball at, to revisit my glory days. Now I'm doing research, hoping to find the best mode of transportation and a way to live my final days of retirement in Alaska. I keep coming back to watch your videos. I have an Ford F700 with a 20 ft flatbed I bought 2015 as the base of my build. Hope to catch you on the road. My build begins this summer, I've already got a small RV woodstove, a diesel heater and generator I salvaged from an old rv.

Timmy love watching your adventures - thank you. I am not totally getting the reverence of folks for the bus though - the book and movie was very good, but now even a “replica bus”, interesting…

Always good to ponder the Chris McCandless story. Sad that he had such a slow, painful death. No one deserves that, even if they are kind of reckless. Glad you are always well prepared for adventures, Timmy. Wolf faking injury story was good, too.

Thank you for taking us along. I watched the movie a number of years ago so it was very interesting to see the area that Chris lived in. Looking forward to your next adventure. Stay safe.

Thanks Timmy for that adventure! I never heard the story and I appreciate that you've brought it to my attention. I likely will never make it to Alaska as I'm in my late 60''s now. But I've always had an adventurous heart chained by responsibilities. So thanks so much for showing me what is out there and how beautiful it is. It's great to sit here in my cozy space and watch! You're such a cool dude :D

-60 crazy. It got to -25 in Colorado, no wind chill. That year I think, if I remember, it was colder in 2 places in CO, than any other places on earth or it was even, for that day. Hard to remember and I LOVED IT! Blizzard, 2 ft snow, base of rockies, LOVED IT! My multiple silverados plowed through but -60? Co has the same kind of people or did when I left. Keep truckin bro!

Hi Timmy I enjoy your channel! Just an observation try putting your fan on the floor blowing the cold floor air into the warm upper air. That will draw the warm air down to your feet. happy trucking. A trick I learned heating my house with a wood stove. I used to blow the warm air to the cold part of the house. I found when I blew the cold air to the stove my house was much warmer. give her a try and see your results.

You could maybe relocate your stairs for the cabin. Where they are, if you slip or fall, your headed into sharp corners of that diamond truck box. Stay safe!
