I also drank Zoloft for only a month, and I've been sick for 5 months, but it's getting a little better. This is a terrible medicine

Tell me doc…I quit Effexor 75 mg cold turkey…almost five months ago..I’m dying here…what can I do?ive lost my freaking mind!

Sorry to hear that . But I would advise to consult a Psychiatrist or GP to assess your situation and offer you medication if that would be needed. I hope you get the requisite help soon.

@@rustymullins6623 I'm doing the same drug taper but don't recommend stopping 75 mg. Being stable by going up a bit might offer relief. I hear ya it's really hard. The hardest thing I've ever had to do. Good to not be totally alone. :)

If one SSRI did not suit you, there are other options to try. Sometimes one needs to try a different one which might suit you better. There are a few options to choose from.

Hi doc.. i too am a doctor.. ophthalmologist.. i have taken sertraline for 6 weeks..25mg for first 3 weeks 50mg for 2 weeks and tapered it in the last week due to disturbing dizziness.. i have extreme lightheadedness after stopping the drug.. feels like my brain is hot and inflamed.. most irritating is the lightheaderness and wierd imbalance feeling.. stopped the drug 2 weeks ago still have symptoms.. is it normal and how long could it continue

That is odd to have these symptoms linger for that long for such a short intake. Unless co incidental , so I wud rule out any other cause, especially if symptoms are worsening despite stopping the med.

I don't think this tapering down is practised that commonly. It was a recent study from 2023 though.
