Top tip for new players of this game: DO NOT flick light switches at night! It makes a massive noise to simulate the a "flash" in the dark and can attract zombies from a huge radius. Lights make no noise during the day.

Just getting back in again. Played this gem when they introduced the crafting system, when they started experimenting with 3D models. I heard that they now probably really add survivor NPCs to the game. Fingers crossed. But they have added and refined so many things, really like what I'm seeing. The "full auto usage" from storage is incredible. No more taking out tools only to store them two seconds later. =D I really hope you are getting sponsored by Indi Stone. Always remember, if you're upstairs in a base, you can destroy stairs with a sledgehammer, do it. Just replace your stairs with an escape rope, and the zombies can't get to you, as long as you get to the top before they come in.

If i were you, i wouldn't make my base or even a safe house just yet. I would probably just rest in a random home and in the morning go gear up and head to the west of louisville, you have a fenced 2 story house with 3 garages and also access to river water +fish. You can also scavange for loot in louisville, as its not that far :]

I personally think that a good strategy if you like to explore in this game would be to first find a nice house to build a safe room in so if it becomes night time or something horrible happens like a huge horde appears out of nowhere you have some place to hide EDIT I'm what I mean by making a safe house is every time you answer new city or whatever you make a safe house so that way you have a place to spend the night or hide

Finished your first day and watching day two so I have a few questions since this is my only exposure to the game: Do utilities in buildings last forever or do power plants eventually shut down, TV stops being broadcasted, water pressure dies? Can you wear the satchel bag and the school bag together or does the game not allow that? I dont think I saw you wear them at the same time. You said in day one that if you overload yourself you hurt yourself. If you unload yourself afterwards, does this damage heal up? I noticed you didnt loot an additional pencil when given the opportunity, do pencils not break in the game? Is it possible to hot wire a car in this game? I dont know if your character doesnt know how or the game developers didnt allow/consider that? Can you burn materials to keep warm or draw light for distractions for example?
