Sonny, how can your tongue/mouth/stomach eat everything as you do? Were you very hungry as a child, or food was all weird to you, or you were beaten if you didn't eat everything on your plate, so you learned to just "through thr lips and over the gums, look out stomach, here it comes?"

@@thefuture12It is his shared experience of the parts of his exploration of Ethiopia. We saw the great market of Addis Abbaba and some of the taste experiences there. I found it ALL fascinating. I will not likely taste REAL Ethiopian coffee in Ethiopia, nor travel to visit the people of those three tribes with superlative translators. Would you also say that the Navajo, the people the hollers of eastern Kentucky, the Basque cowboys of the great western plains, the Maine lobstermen, or the Cajuns of the Gulf Coast are not real Americans? We all come in many flavors aside from the stereotypes of our nations or tribes or regions, don't you agree?

Jesus Christ wants a personal relationship with you through the Holy Spirit, not religion and blind faith. You see, we all have sinned, and have broken God’s law (The Ten Commandments). Wrong doing deserves justice and must be punished (just like how a criminal has to pay for the crime they have committed) but God saved us from the eternal punishment of our sins by sending His Son Jesus Christ, fullness of God in flesh, a perfect, sinless sacrifice to pay the penalty for our sins by dying on the cross and resurrecting, so that we may have everlasting life. It is all finished and now for you to accept the free gift of grace, you must repent of your sins and put your faith in Jesus Christ and Bible says that His Blood will cover all of your sins, you will be forgiven, saved from eternal punishment, and be given everlasting life. By faith you will receive the Holy Spirit, become born again, know Jesus personally and He will transform your heart and clean you from the inside out. Turn away from sin, read the Bible, pray for the Holy Spirit to fill you and change you, obey the Word. Much love and God bless you!

This is a great lesson for all of us who think material possession or climbing the endless academic ladder is a success. Thank you, love this video! I appreciate being able to join you on this journey and understanding of the tribes of Ethiopia. I might not get the chance to travel there, but your questions are enlightening and how you asked in the end about carrying on traditions in a modern world. Learning about the foods provides such a deeper understanding of the people and traditions. I appreciate that you can take part in the local cuisine with such grace and with a view for learning about the distinct customs. Thank you for this, it is the next closest thing to actually being able to visit these amazing cultures. I feel like I have a deeper understanding just by watching your video.

Sonny, This was such an insightful video. Some of the dishes looked tasty but as for the raw meat, the blood, I just don't see how you got it swallowed without gagging and perhaps hurting their feelings I have to say that I really enjoyed how genuinely nice and hospitable the ppl of Ethiopia are. The one young wife had it all going on with her alcohol and tabaco and even had her girlfriend doing her hair! I have a difficult time with slaughtering animals. I spent some very young years of my life on a farm that in every sense of the word, was a working farm. 365 days a year. Come rain or come shine, hell or high water, tornados and twisters. It was a self sustaining farm. We grew our own fruits and vegetables. Canned our food and stored root crops in our root seller. Milked our own cows and made our own butter, had fresh cream milk everyday. We raised hogs and made our own sausage and smoked our own bacon and ham. Made pickles and Sauerkraut as well. We all worked hard but my little heart got so broken when the very animals that I had been feeding everyday and loving on was being slaughtered. Chickens, cows being loaded up to go to the slaughter house. I think you get it. To this day, It breaks my heart. The only way I can get through it is to make their death as quick and pain free and respectful as is possible. I thank GOD for HIS provision. Then I am somewhat okay. But I don't think anyone or anything could make me drink warm blood. My Uncle used to make blood sausage every season. It was on the meat platter along with the red-eye ham steaks, bacon, and eggs fried in bacon fat, I was always a curious one about cuisines of all kinds and willing to sample, once at least. That particular early morning, as the meat platter was being passed in front of me,y Uncle asked me if I wanted to try some and I said yes, just a little please, not knowing of what, I had gotten myself into. It wasn't bad but the irony aftertaste I just couldn't deal with. Everything else, fabulous! I see you have developed your pallett to experience and enjoy some of my gastronomy tastes that are absolute deal breakers for me. Great video Sonny. I love learning about all the food, culture, social mores. I really do appreciate your respect, participation and the humbleness and fun you have enjoying all kinds of ppl. Memories that areore precious than gold. Thanks Sonny for taking me along. See you next time.😊🌊🌊🌊🌊

I have visited Africa. Ethiopia was one of the countries. I had only the time to do Addis Ababa and a few other historical sites. I had no time to go to the Bush areas of Ethiopia. What an eye opener this video was for me. I had no idea that such tribes existed in the borders of Ethiopia. Raw meat. Liver, gizzards, stomach (with poo) all still pulsing with life. Sir, you have my undying respect eating such raw living meat. I don't think I could do it. When all this crazy nonsense in the world is finished, I would like to go back to visit Ethiopia. IF you can eat raw meat, I think I can too. BUT, it want to psyche myself up first. I have friends who saw this video. I asked them, "Could you eat that?" With out missing a beat, "I WANT THAT BILE, LIVER, AND STOMACH!!!" I hope to bring my friends with me to the Bush part of Ethiopia.
