You need to buy some heatbanks instead, they can go for hours and can be recharged. Then you can even use them for a bit of extra juice for the mobile phone if you have to.

Nice to hear you are coming back to visit in Finland. I can suggest nice places to visit in Lapland, Saariselkä in Ivalo(Finland's longest sledding hill there), maby the best place to visit and good spot to see the northern lights, if the weather is good and not cloudy. Welcome back!

6:12 oh, we du have the northern lights in Denmark and it can be really beautiful, though it do not happen that often. I have probably seen more northern lights when traveling to Sweden or Norway then back home.

Oh wow thats awesome!! The KPs must be so high when you can see them in Denmark! I am sure they are wonderful in Sweden and Norway too! We are going to Norway so hopefully we will see a lot of them :)

2:53 freezing rain. I would think it’s what we in Denmark calls underafkølet regn, or undercooled rain. It’s rain that’s under the freezing point of water. It hurts if it hits your skin, and it freezes instantly when it hit something. Roads and walkways get extremely slippery and cars and the like can get glazed in ice right away, so you can’t open them. It’s not something that happens that often, but when it do it’s the worst. I would take -25 C snowy days, over it, anytime.

But it do make some beautiful ice crystals on trees and stuff. A walk in the forest when the sun have come out after such a rain shower, it’s magical.

Going to Norway in February. How cold is it going to get? How much money should I spend on a Down Jacket?

It will probably be between 10-25 Fahrenheit! We bought our jackets for around $50 and wore thermals under them and it worked pretty well :) enjoy your trip!!
