They are healthy and happy. They don't need that so-called tool of progression which you name as education. They are educated and skilled in their own ways. It's their way of life. Try to broaden your outlook thinking beyond your own horizon. Just because your ways of understanding the world do not match with others, it is not that they are backward or need your tools to sustain themselves.
