So, in this video you spent 551047 sway on various actions. In the prerelease sale, Sway was sold at 10000 sway per USD, so what you did in this video cost $55.10. That seems like a lot for 20 mins of beginner gameplay...

I was thinking this also, but even worse...internet says 1 SWAY is 0.00406 USD which means 551047 SWAY = . $2,237. Saying that I have read a comment that the 'pre-release' is free....not 100% sure if this is Benzie paying ludicrous amounts of money or that the numbers are completely made up in this pre-release

Ok so from what I can tell this looks cool but how do I use the trajectory graph thingy for plotting the roots to fly the ships? Also is or will there be space combat?

We don't have a firm date for launch yet as there's still a few things to sort out. As for price, it'll be Free* to play, but you'll need to purchase your starting amount of SWAY.

Hey Echo, Influence is a game you can put as much money as you want in, but to start 25 to 60 dollars will be enough to really get started with our "starter packs". One thing to note is the game is peer to peer, which means long term all things you purchase (if you put new money into the game) is going straight to other players not the studio. The game will launch in just a short while (Official date will be announced soon) Pre-Release is open today, free, and has a bunch of community missions to earn some SWAY so you can have a bit of a head start at launch.

Hey Illness, thanks for watching Benzie's video. Cost to get started are between $25 and $100 depending on what starter pack you choose. In terms of "making money" that's not something we can comment on, but whatever you earn in game (SWAY the in-game currency) you are more than welcome to sell it.

WARING: Free to play = I can play with OUT PAYING! Game requires REAL money to start, if you don't give them money you cannot do ANYTHING. So NO its NOT free to play. Your wallet stays at 0 and literally can do nothing. What kind of scam is this?

The game doesn't advertise as free to play, nor have I claimed it was, not should a game necessarily be totally free to play (how do Devs get paid?). When it launches, players can buy starter packs that will get you off the ground. From there you rely on your wits and ability to sell if you want to play without paying again. It's an entry cost (like buying a game) followed by a subscription that can be avoided with wily play. That puts it between EVE Online and World of Warcraft, for example.

Influence uses SWAY, a cryptocurrency based on Ethereum, to validate your actions. This also gives it a "Pay to Act" game style, where rather than a subscription, you pay a tiny cost per action, but can earn more via gameplay.

@@influence-mmo when attempting to log in... after creating an account through the argent extension, it keeps asking me to from the main network to another network. everytime I accept that action it says 'user abort' . Whats going on?
