TESTIMONIALS
‘Started hitting the moves laid out in these courses the very next class...extremely uplifting to have such a quick improvement in my game’ - Houston, TX
‘I’m the only white belt in the academy doing these moves…I’m suddenly competing at a blue belt and above level…thanks Coach Tom’ - LA, California
‘Some of the best strategies you are going to see for control and submission’ - London, UK
‘The detailed way Prof Tom breaks down his moves into the absolute essentials is just next level for me. This is absolute gold‘ - Sydney, Australia
‘Most of the guys at my Academy, have about 60lbs on me, but since purchasing your ‘Kimura Attack system’ and ’14 days’ everything has changed. I feel much more confident, roll better and the guys on the mat have commented on the same. Thanks, Coach Tom’ - Dallas, TX
‘I know you have your names for your courses, but I’ve renamed them the ‘Zero to hero’ courses, I went from getting constantly owned, to now being completely dominant on the mat in no time at all’ - San Diego, California
‘I use the course material heaps, and just recently put it into action at a local comp, walked away with double gold. No one was more surprised than me! - Miami, Florida
‘As a new white belt, these classes have helped me so much, Prof Tom’s technique, the details, and his attitude. I love how Prof. Tom shows the ‘mistakes people make’ and then shows the correct way of doing things. The only one I have ever seen do this’ - New York, New York
Great videos, great instruction. I just watch them for hours…Melbourne, Australia
‘The instructional saved me big time at a recent comp, my opponent was def more experienced, but that was ok, coz I had Prof Tom’s video in my brain. Nailed it and scored gold’ - Colorado, Denver
‘All of it. Everything you show in your awesome videos are now my ‘go to techniques’. Thanks for your vids Prof, Tom’ - Houston, TX
‘You really have to watch every second of the video because Prof, Tom drops these little nuggets of gold throughout the course. And they make ALL the difference. The only one doing this. Keep them coming Professor’ - NY, New York
‘If I could only be taught from one person, Prof Tom would be it. I can’t wait to train in person one day’ - Dallas, TX
‘Went to a recent competition with these videos fresh in my mind. I knew I had an edge and the confidence this gave me was unreal. Got the gold. All submission wins! - LA, California

This just described my first day to a T. The thought of "what the hell am I supposed to do?!" was almost enough to make me not want to go back. Luckily, I ended the class having more fun than I've EVER had with any exercise. The sense of empowerment was overwhelming even through the embarrassment of knowing nothing and being a female in a group of big ass dudes. Class #2 is tonight, and this vid just helped reassure me that I want to pursue this. Thank you for the helpful info.

In my opinion rolling straight away is dumb. A newcomer shouldnt full spar for at least first 2-3 weeks, but should rather do basic drills and learn basic positions and movements. I've heard some school dont let you spar for months and I agree thats stupid, but letting a new guy who has no idea what he is doing might end up him getting hurt and never returning again.

@@quarawlisstafford487 Because right out of the box on the first day of class he states the student will be rolling and sparring. Kama JJ and Gracie JJ say that you shouldn't spar until after a couple of months of basics. I can see many people getting hurt not knowing what to do and never coming back. Whereas in karate (my speciality) you work up to that gradually. Again what Rener Gracie says "approximately 90% of people who start jiu-jitsu never make it to blue belt, and 99% of people who make it to blue never make it to black belt." Rener Gracie. Just my opinion.

I'm getting ready for my first day in BJJ watching a lot of KZbin videos. This has been the best by far. I've got a good amount of experience in Judo, so I understand what he's describing. I made the mistake of giving 100% full speed effort for my first two days. I was completely gassed and got my ass kicked six ways from Sunday by blue belts. Later learned that I had to just take it easy and just focus on doing the moves correctly with my training partner; and that no matter what, my higher ranked training partnet was going to use a move I havent seen yet and tap me anyway. Great training though and an excellent workout.

My first experience with BJJ was in 1996. I wrestled D1 at Michigan and was warming up a transfer from CA. I was feeling good about myself and he says, "Let me show you something.". I didn't think I needed advice from a guy I could rape if I wanted. I easily put him on his back again and he triangled me. After we reset, I put him on his back and he caught an arm several different ways. Not knowing you're in trouble until you're stuck was a very humbling experience.

Maybe I was over thinking everything but it was fun. My partner was a brown belt and he was patient with me. I told the coach my only worry was slowing people down because I absolutely know nothing. He said its. Normal. I just have to keep going to class and learn and learn. I'm not good at asking questions but speaking up will Definitely help. Great vid by the way - the closest training center to me is a £20 ferry journey away (not inc driving times either side) I just don't think I can muster up the funds to be traveling back and forth multiple times a week while looking after 3 children and my disabled mother...
